So, it's 5:20 AM and I am on the train heading west to work. At the stop that is 625' under the Oregon Zoo, the doors open and I am joined in the car by two very dubious looking men and happily by a security guard. I have just completed my first Viking apron dress, in honor of a certain proto-laurel that we all know and love. It fits!! Huzzah! I have very nice inkel trim to adorn the top of the dress and have enough of the same to also trim the hem of said dress. My question: Did such hem embellishment happen in period? Any ideas? An interesting weekend, generally. That is after you exclude the boring and frustrating driving class. It is literally being taught by a committee that is based in Eugene, not PDX and has a different instructor come up each weekend. Feeling a tad disconnected this week, probably due to having to cancel the LWTB lunch on Friday due to a job interview. The position was cool, but dead simple, and the people really seemed to like me, which is neat since I interviewed with the team I would be working with.
