Spotter's Guide to the Edison Standard Phonograph
The Antique Phonograph Society has published a fairly comprehensive guide to the Edison Standard, circa 1898 - 1913, by Martin Kauper (also knows as my most excellent spouse). I post it herein for anyone looking for period detail about the Edison Standard, and also because it's simply a pretty cool machine.

My daughter came home from a high school this week to report that the Associated Student Body had not approved the formation of a Feminist Club because it would be "non-inclusive and derogatory." They did, however, approve the formation of a "Christian Athlete's Club ( Read more... ) -
