True Blood season 4 was such a disappointing affair that I don't think they could sink lower if they tried... Although there were some parts of season 2 and 3 I found below the mark or boring like all the meanad plot in season 2 or everything relating to Jason in season 3, the majority of those seasons was entertaining. I still remember my great disappointment in sequels written by sort of professional writers to "Pride and Prejudice" by Jane Austen and "Gone with the Wind" by Margaret Mitchell.
