True Blood Season 4 Sucks! Total crap:P

True Blood season 4 was such a disappointing affair that I don't think they could sink lower if they tried... Although there were some parts of season 2 and 3 I found below the mark or boring like all the meanad plot in season 2 or everything relating to Jason in season 3, the majority of those seasons was entertaining. I especially like Dallas events in season 2 and new characters like Russell and Franklin in season 3 who brought new life to this vampire show.

Season 4, however, lost all the appeal this series used to have to me. I was totally disappointed with the way they presented Eric/Sookie affair, which first was totally boring, this snowy fantasies and Eric's lack of personality were really crappy. The ideas of making Bill a king wasn't such a bad one unless at the end of the series Eric with memories was such an ass-kissing sidekick. It was pathetic. I could almost cry with Pam what they had done with my favourite vamp in TB/SVM world. No sense of humor or joie de vivre whatsoever. And Sookie keeps going to be the most annoying girl in the universe and doesn't remind of this independent and brave woman in Charlaine Harris's books (at least those that were still good, I don't count book 9 and 11 among them, but the TV show seems to disappoint much faster than the books started going down). Her easy forgiveness of Bill's transgressions and equating Eric's misdeeds to Bill's was so low. Excuse me, but procuring her for the queen, beating her to almost death to put his blood in her veins to manipulate her feelings, draining her to almost death and doing everything to prevent her ever getting to know the truth were rather more severe things than anything Eric has done to her... Sorry guys, but I don't buy your lousy way to keep Bill in the race and Eric as a second lead. I don't also know how HBO couldn't afford to make some convincing special effects... The demon plot smelled of total amauterishness. How could anyone pay for such cheapy demon masks. Demons like a name indicate should be frightening and dangerous, this one was not the case, just pathetic really.

The season 4 finale brought only one positive thing, Russell's escape will promise some good acting and dialogue in the next season. But the rest of the franchise looks rather hopeless, with the tamed Viking, annoying waitress and over-smug Bill the king.

true blood, season 4
