Kairi was still peeved at the fact she had no home to call her own on the island. One minute she was living in an apartment and had stayed with Namine to...get over a few things and then when she came back she didn't live there anymore. Did she forget to pay rent or something? And then there was the drama of finding a place to stay and while she was serious about camping out doors people still offered their ...homes to her. Sure, she could've stayed with Namine--but she had just come back from there and didn't want to put her out again--or with Riku--though considering...what happened before she wasn't comfortable with the idea and thought giving him space was what the doctor ordered--but she didn't ( ... )

Long before she knocked on his door, Zexion was aware of Kairi's presence. After all, the scent of one with so pure a heart was hardly easy to mistake. From the moment of his arrival on the island, he had been assaulted with the scent of darkness of varying strengths, but having the Princess within his vicinity was a welcome relief. It allowed him some room to breathe.

Opening the door, he donned an expression that fell somewhere between a small, pleasant smile and his customary predatory smirk. There was no sense in scaring her away, but neither did he intend to let her feel completely at ease.

"Welcome, Princess. I trust you had no difficulty locating this building?"

Kairi began to shift her weight from one foot to another as she waited for Zexion to open the door. She was beginning to think he wasn't home when she saw his face. The nervousness she felt increased two fold but she tried to remain calm, giving the other a small smile. Though he doesn't need to call me that..

"No it was pretty easy...but um...could you not call me Princess? I don't really consider myself to be one..." she explained, waiting until he side stepped to let her in.

"And...thanks for having me over Zexion..." she said sheepishly, bowing her head a little.

"My apologies, Kairi." The small smirk did not leave his face, though he returned her gesture with an inclination of his head. Moving aside, he opened the door wide enough for her to enter, revealing the sparsely furnished living room and the entryway to the kitchen beyond. The white walls and stark decor had reminded him briefly of Castle Oblivion before he had dismissed the unwelcome memory.

"As I said before, your gratitude is unnecessary, but you are welcome in this house."

He noted that the bag she was carrying was far too small to contain all of her possessions, and concluded that being without a home in place meant also being without one's personal belongings.

"May I take your affects?"

Michiru hesitated in front of the door at House 13. She was holding a beautiful bouquet of lilies, plus a pair of pajamas that Usagi had been nice enough to loan her. They would be a bit small, of course, but they would do until she was able to support herself.

The key in her hand felt heavy, and she was unsure as to how she should approach this. She'd never lived with a complete stranger before. There were no set rules of etiquette she could call on, especially as neither resident had actually chosen to live here.

Opting for the most polite course of action, she knocked at the door, hoping that whomever currently resided in this house would be able to hear, and answer. She hated the idea of simply barging in.

Abruptly, Zexion became aware of another scent in close proximity to himself and his guest. It was similar to Kairi's in a way, but it was not completely devoid of darkness as hers was. The kettle began to whistle and he immediately removed it from the heat of the stove, setting it aside for the moment. He turned briefly to Kairi.

"If you will excuse me, I believe we have another visitor."

A quiet knock at the door confirmed his suspicions, and he took his leave of the kitchen in order to answer it.

"So then if you don't sleep in that then...do you sleep in the nude?" the words flew out of Kairi's mouth before she had a chance to fully think out the consequences of her actions. The blush on her face instantly deepened, how she wanted to crawl into a hole right now and never leave. She was trying to think of a way to distract Zexion from answering that question when there was a knock on the door.

She raised an eyebrow at the sound. Another visitor? At this hour? ..Did he order pizza too? she thought, leaving the kitchen to follow behind Zexion though she hoped and prayed he wouldn't answer that question.

Michiru listened intently for some sign of activity behind the door. If no one was home, then she'd have to make her own way in, and hope that she and the other resident could get along in the morning.

She heard a female voice, but couldn't actually make out the words. A female roommate would be nice, at least. Then she wouldn't have to worry quite so much about modesty.

The door opened, and for a moment Michiru was too surprised to speak. If this was the owner of the voice she'd heard, this person was very androgynous. And rather shorter than she'd expected. On closer inspection, however, she realized that the person was, in fact, male, and had a female guest over.

"Sumimasen," she said, inclining her head respectfully. She felt bad for intruding on what was obviously a private gathering. "I'm sorry to bother you. I just discovered..." she paused, unable to think of a polite way to tell this person that they now lived together. "I was assigned a room in this house," she finished, looking away demurely.

Kairi blinked. Michiru was using the same ....formalities with her as Watanuki. Considering they both came from japan she couldn't help but if those two met before. Or perhaps Japan was simply too big for them to have met. Still it never hurts to ask ( ... )

Michiru watched the ensuing conversation with something akin to amusement. She had originally thought that this person, Zexion...? Was the rude and silent type. Yet here he had poured them tea, and Kairi was... teasing him?

"No, I'm afraid I don't know anybody by the name of Watanuki," she replied. She didn't want to give away that she knew Usagi just yet, in case these people knew of Sailor Moon's presence on the island. Her afternoon with the princess had calmed her paranoia some, but not enough to reveal highly sensitive information.

"I actually borrowed some clothes already, though they might be a bit small. So please do not deny the offer on my account," she said, smiling politely as she turned to Zexion.

"We haven't been properly introduced. I am Kaiou Michiru, of Tokyo, Japan. I brought some flowers, for decoration," she said, laying the bouquet on the table. She sipped at her tea, and was surprised to find that it suited her tastes quite well.

Zexion very nearly rolled his eyes at the Princess's attempt to coerce him into borrowing her clothing, and reluctantly accepted the seat next to her. It seemed that she was either a highly skilled actress, or she truly had come to view him as something close to a friend. Given her sincerity, he was inclined to believe the latter, though how she had reached such a conclusion in the short time that he had made her acquaintance escaped him ( ... )

The question she had asked earlier was brought back up. The blush on her face was finally going away only to come back up when Zexion answered it. So then..if he doesn't sleep int he nude and not int he cloak... Her mind was trying to comprehend an answer..one that was not perverted in the least. if he does have pajamas where does he keep...NO! How she hated her hormones at the moment.

The subject was thankfully changed when the flowers were brought up. She smiled at the lovely bunch recalling her outting with that nice woman, Aerith, when the island was completely a jungle. She hoped the other was doing okay considering she hadn't heard from her in so long. more than likely she left...along with Sora.. a small sigh escaped her lips missing her best friend. She took a sip of her tea to lift her spirits.

"I'm from..." she paused to really think over her answer. Did she really want to explain the intricacies that went with where she came from? Just make it simple."I'm from Destiny Islands but originally I'm from Radient ( ... )

In the silence that now filled the room between Michiru and Zexion, she felt the urge to laugh. It was entirely inappropriate, yet Kairi really did remind her of Usagi. Just as hopeless, to be sure.

The emptiness between them stretched, and the strange amusement passed. She folded her arms across her chest.

"Is it that you love her?" she asked the cold man standing before her. "Or have you truly set aside evil as an exercise in futility, at least for the time being?"

Even as Kairi fled the room with a hastily muttered excuse, Zexion's full attention remained on Michiru. There was no mistaking her now for anything other than what she was; the strength and will to fight were as poorly concealed as her anger, and her words merely confirmed his suspicion. She was indeed capable of casting quite an imposing figure on her enemies when she chose. However, he was not in the mood. Drawing himself up to his full height and unconsciously mimicking her stance, Zexion locked his gaze with hers ( ... )

Kairi was a bit busy to notice anything going on between Michiru and Zexion, though she did have the inkling that neither of them were getting along much. I'll have to play peace keeper then... The thought went through her mind as she hurriedly took out more napkins from the kitchen cupboard. But I can't believe she would say something like that! I'm not...not with anyone! I mean, Riku....like that's ever gonna happen. Especially now considering the rift between them.

I came here to get away from those thoughts...and feelings... Nodding to herself she quickly grabbed the napkins and headed back over to where the mess was. Hopefully the tea didn't sink too far into the carpet for her to get out. As she passed by the teal haired beauty and Nobody she heard Zexion ask Michiru if she wanted dinner with them. As she pressed the napkins into the carpet to clean the mess up she looked up at Michiru.

"Yes, please join us! If we don't have enough food..." she paused, trying to think of anything that she could cook. Forget it, I'm ( ... )

A dangerous enemy, then, Michiru thought, because I've no idea what he wants. She glared at him, with all the coldness of the unforgiving ocean. There would be a time when lines were drawn. A small part of her hoped to see them fighting together, because that would prove that he had, in fact, forsaken evil. Most of her, however, was quite sure that when the time came, they'd be on opposite sides. She was looking forward to it.

She realized that she had yet to answer Kairi. She turned to the girl and smiled. "It would be my pleasure to dine with you, Kairi-san." She looked back to Zexion, and though her expression revealed only her humble graciousness at being asked to dine with them, the cold had not left her eyes. "And with you, Zexion-san. I appreciate your excellent hospitality," she said, showing complete sincerity.
