Atem had other things to do and take care of- but at least for now that stupid voice over event had ended. He wasn't really sure how much more of that he could have taken. But it was behind him now and he had to get back into his regular schedule.

It didn't really help that it was freezing outside. When would the island go back to spring? He'd really like that.

With the sparse number of people around it wasn't hard to take one look at the man standing in the middle of town and realize he was new. New... So Kia was still up to something. He wasn't sure if that was good or bad news yet. And out of all the people brought here this man looked-

Normal. Very normal compared to the rest of them. Hell, even compared to himself. But looks could be deceiving he knew. He looked around trying to gauge how much he could get up to before stepping forward.

"Do you need help?"

Himuro was still caught up in his thoughts, so it took him a-albeit brief-moment before he turned to the voice, finding a young man approaching him. So people were out and about in this town after all, thank goodness. The first thing that he took notice of was his wild hair, which to him stood out like a red beacon against all of the white. He couldn't help but raise a brow at the young man. What was it with the kids these days and their crazy hair?

Clearing his throat, Himuro brought out his other hand to straighten his tie before placing them both back in the pockets, and turned to the approaching man. His usual indifferent facade was on his face rather than the confused and somewhat hurt expression he had a moment ago.

Just because he has a girlfriend (who he was missing very much) did not mean that he was no longer the famous hard-ass math teacher of Habataki Academy.

"I seem to have gotten lost..." Although I'm not sure how I did to begin with. He stopped himself from finishing that statement, lest he look like a complete fool ( ... )

It didn't take much to notice he was being stared at- unfavorably at that. He held back a scowl of his own. His nerves were frayed enough, he didn't really need to be judged. His expression remained calmly neutral despite all of this, but one of his hips did shift outward slightly. Usual stance.

"Let me guess, you were somewhere else one minute and the next you're here." His tone was as flat as could be.

Well, that answered some questions. It seemed as though he wasn't the only one that was brought here randomly. At least he wouldn't sound like a complete fool saying 'yes'. He still hesitated in answering the question, since this whole situation seemed foolish and unbelievable to begin with, like a bad dream.

"...One would say. I'm assuming there are others here in the same predicament?" His tone was just as equally flat, though it held a professional tone to it. It was quite obvious that this man was a strict, no-nonsense type of person.

HAVE A KID, MR TEACHER. kaiser_in_rehab January 24 2011, 22:06:20 UTC
Since those voices had stopped, Ken had had a difficult time getting his life back together. He was skittish and shyer than usual, wary of the chance that the Kaiser's voice might materialize itself again. Maybe it was still inside him? The thought had been plaguing him ever since the event started, even while he was at work or walking to and from it. Those were the only things he had managed to do this past week.

As he hustled by, a crunch in the snow caught his attention. His head shot up. The only person nearby was someone completely unfamiliar. Someone new? Well, they did seem to be coming out of the forest.

"Um...excuse me?" he called tentatively, "do you need some help?"

\o/! HURRAH SOMEONE TO TEACH stonecoldsensei January 25 2011, 00:19:36 UTC
Having been around students who have a meek tone of voice, his ears have been trained to hear silent calls like the one he just heard. His head turned to the voice and he frowned at the sight.

A school-age boy...? Was it a weekend today? He doubted it, and it couldn't have been a national holiday, either.

Nevertheless, Himuro approached the boy. Normally, Himuro would jumped at the question asked and say 'yes, I seem to be lost, can you help me?' or something along those lines, but... his teacher instinct kicked in instead and the following questions slipped out instead of the more appropriate answer.

"What are you doing wandering around? Shouldn't you be in school at this time?"

DON'T SCARE HIM AWAY NOW kaiser_in_rehab January 25 2011, 02:05:32 UTC
Well, the man was coming closer. Ken could only hope that this would turn out better than the grabbing and dragging the last new person he had talked to put him through. But the question threw him off entirely.

"School?" he asked, confused for a moment. He had been on Salkia for almost two years without having anything close to formalized schooling. It had only crossed his mind the few times when Ritsuka mentioned it, or when the school building first became available. But an adult caring about it?

"Oh," he said quickly, realizing how he must have looked, "um...we don't really have a running school here. Um, welcome to Salkia Island."

SORRY MAN HIMURO SCARES EVERYONE stonecoldsensei January 25 2011, 11:50:38 UTC
Ken, you have just received the most horrifyingly doubtful look from Himuro for that excuse, complete with crossed arms and raised eyebrow. That was a really bad excuse, and not only saying that to someone who obviously works in the educational system, but saying that to Himuro of all people? Bad idea...

At least the young man was kind enough to tell him where he was... though he was pretty sure that there was no island called "Salkia Island" anywhere in Japan.

"There is some form of a running educational system in all civilizations. Do you really expect me to believe such an excuse?"

Those voices had drove this puppy off the deep end ... don't mind if he's a bit irritable these days because of it. But not irritable enough to not notice a new scent in the area. Someone new must of just popped in.

Inuyasha relaxes on the three branch nearyby.

"You must be new ..." he peers down at the man.

Himuro turned to the voice, finding... he wasn't sure what he found. It was obviously a teenage boy (though the long hair left something to be desired...) but why was he dressed in traditional clothing? And what was with those ears? What was it with the latest trends to these young folk... Kids these days.

Himuro stepped closer to the boy, putting his hand back in his pocket. "New to where, if you don't mind me asking?"

This guy was awfully calm. Kinda like Sesshomaru ... except not. Then again, who could be more calm than his brother... or at lest seemed calm. Wouldn't want to incur his wrath.

"Salkia Island... in short, you could say you were kidnapped."

stonecoldsensei January 26 2011, 01:10:03 UTC
"I highly doubt I was kidnapped; I don't feel any side effects of a struggle." Himuro replied. It was truth: if he really was kidnapped, by dictionary definition, then he definitely would have felt some form of after effect from a struggle. Other than feeling cold from the temperature, he felt just about as normal as before he pulled up to Ayu's house.

Ignoring the fact that his heart is feeling heavy from worry, of course. How long has it been since he'd arrived here again...?

Ayu was rather unnerved when she found herself not in her home, but in what appeared a forest. A forest that was covered in snow and was cold and- Just how was that possible? Last time she checked, it was spring! And just where was this place, anyway? It wasn't the botanical garden or any of the park areas, that much she was sure of. The towering buildings of the shopping district weren't visible and she practically knew the layouts of the parks by heart nowadays. That, and this place was far too quiet.

But maybe, thought Ayu, if she looked around she'd eventually find something that seemed vaguely familiar. And if she didn't... Well, there was always the chance that she would find someone to ask for directions. On the other hand, maybe running around in a forest she knew nothing about might not be the best idea. However, she really wasn't dressed for this kind of low temperature. Her feet were freezing already, thanks to the snow ( ... )

His head shot up at the sound of what sounded like someone calling to him. He quickly turned to find Ayu a ways off, coughing and sniffling and-- dear God, she must be freezing in those clothes.

"Aoki!" he called as he rushed over to her. Without hesitation and ignoring his own chills, he ripped off his jacket and threw it onto her shoulders, rubbing her arms to get some warmth back. Thanks to her choice of clothes she needed the jacket more than he did, and he'll be damned if he let her catch a cold in this temperature.

"How long have you been out there...?" A rather silly question to ask. It was obvious from her chills that she'd been in that forest for quite some time... It still didn't stop him from worrying. Hypothermia wasn't a pleasant experience and he didn't want Ayu to experience it firsthand.

Maybe the cold had gottten to her. A little.

Despite the faint guilt gnawing at her mind, her heartbeat accelerated, a familiar warmth blossoming in her cheeks (or maybe that was just the product of a somewhat dazed mind). This was his jacket and it was on her and what about him, wasn't he going to get cold and... Suddenly, the ground seemed very interesting even as she shivered, silently thankful for the rubbing.

"N-not f-for... Very l-long, so... I-it's okay, r-really!" With some slight fumbling her hands came to bury themselves in the flat little pockets, desperate for warmth. Her claim of "it being okay", however, would probably have been a bit more convincing, had she not been shivering so violently.

He sighed at her response, drawing her body a little closer to his, still rubbing her arms. She was a terrible liar, he knew that very well. He didn't like it when she lied about her well-being and yet it seemed habitual for her to do so. And he really didn't want to see her fall ill again thanks to those lies.

Still, he would not berate her for it. Not now. Warmth was first priority at the moment.

"Come. We should be heading indoors." He moved to her side, wrapping an arm around her shoulders so that he could keep her warm and guide her to a building which hopefully had heating.

Sesshomaru needed some peace and quiet after hearing that annoying voice from nowhere. He was headed to the forest when an unfamiliar odor came to him. Since it was coming from the direction he was headed, there was no need for him to go out of his way to find the source.

And that source turned out to be a human male.

"Another victim," Sesshomaru said, uncaring if the man heard.

stonecoldsensei January 26 2011, 14:10:08 UTC
Whether or not he cared, Sesshomaru's voice did gain Himuro's attention. Looking to its source, he found yet another traditionally-dressed man with long hair standing a ways off. Unlike the last one though, who merely came off as the usual hot-blooded teenage boy he dealt with from time to time, Himuro felt somewhat uneasy around this one.

What he had said had certainly raised some red flags in Himuro's mind.

Still, Himuro stood his ground, staring directly at the strange-looking man. "Is there something you need?"

"Not from a mere human," Sesshomaru said, coming closer, his disdain clear. Although, he had to admit, he admired the human's bravery--or was it stupidity--for remaining where he was.

Call it an odd sense of pride. Himuro hardly had a personal belief in demons, so while he felt that this person had a dangerous vibe to him, Himuro would think of him as nothing more than just a person with either an attachment to the Edo Period or an odd fashion sense. Or both; he didn't recall seeing robes like those in the history books.

The human comment caused him to arch an eyebrow, though. Is this guy serious...?

"...Very well. Then would you mind if I asked a couple of questions?"
