I should be working on my Avengers prompts (50k worth of unfinished ficlets FTL), but the Alphas premiere was JUST SO AWESOME that this idea wouldn't leave me alone. I had to get my Gary feels out immediately. So there I was, reading a fic by silverlynxcat over at the Norsekink meme, when I literally had to stop and do a double-take. This line stood out to me and made me go "oh hells naw!", and I had no choice but to write about it. :)

So, I'm friends with this local band, the Groove Weasels. I go to see them every time they play... sit in on bass for one or two songs... they're cool. It's fun stuff. So they were playing a Halloween party-1.5 hr drive, but a chance to dress up, so I was THERE-and the house wanted to play their own music during break. Whatever, no big deal. ( Read more... )
