...And it was awesome.

So, I'm friends with this local band, the Groove Weasels. I go to see them every time they play... sit in on bass for one or two songs... they're cool. It's fun stuff. So they were playing a Halloween party-1.5 hr drive, but a chance to dress up, so I was THERE-and the house wanted to play their own music during break. Whatever, no big deal. Supposedly it was "Halloween" music.

It started out normal enough. Ghostbusters theme song, pretty Halloween-y. But then...

"Mister bought a coconut, he bought it for a dime."

Lime in the Coconut? WTF?

Halloween-y? Not at all. Weird? Hell yes. But I was all "holy crap I love this song!", even as I tried not to get sad thinking of that Bones episode. I pretty much rocked out to it, singing along and all. "I said-uh 'doctor!', to relieve this belly ache"!

But I didn't pay it much thought beyond "this song totally reminds me of Bones," until...

"Yeah I'm, HOT BLOODED! Check it and see! I've GOT FEVER of a hundred and three! COME ON BABY do you do more than dance? I'm hot blooded, I'm hot blooded!"

WTF again? How the heck is Foreigner's "Hot Blooded" Halloween music?!

At that point I realized: whoever put the disc together must be a Bones fan! Lime in the Coconut and Hot Blooded, back to back? It's just too big a coincidence.

So I squee'd a little, laughed, rocked out to Hot Blooded, and then gave my props to the bartender for their taste in TV.

True story.
