Summary: Yamada has been acting weirdly towards Chinen lately, and Chinen is borthered. More unexplainable things start to happen when Chinen moves into Yamada's room, and Ryutaro moves into Yuto's room. Complications start to arise when each one start to realize their true feelings, and are faced with rivals to fight for their love.
Notes: I just realized I suck at writing summaries.. DX haha!! sorry about that. This is my first multi-chapter fanfic, so I'm sorry if it's bad, and if it doesn't suit your likings. Again, I'm not so confident about this, because I think I wrote it making the story too slow. I'm sorry! I tried the best I can! Hope you still enjoy reading, though!! >~<

Chapter Twelve: Will I Always Feel This Pain?
Argh, what's wrong with you, Yuto? Why did you just leave like that..? Seeing Ryutaro and Chinen hug was expected, anyway. Like, you didn't think it won't happen ever.. did you?
When Yuto left the living room, he went to his own bedroom, and since then, he's been sitting on his bed, just looking out the window, eyeing the moon for no apparent reason.
Eventually the sounds coming from the floor beneath him died down, so he guessed that the party was over.
Yuto breathed a sigh, not knowing what to do when both the Morimoto brothers returned to his bedroom.
Knock, knock, knock.
He nearly jumped at the sudden knocking on his door, and thinking it would be the two he expected, his voice in replying became shaky, “C-Come in..!”
Yuto was surprised at the figure that made it's way, slowly, inside. His one eyebrow lifted upwards slightly, “Chii?” What's he doing here..?
Chinen closed the door behind him, and started to approach the older one, avoiding eye-contact. “Yuu.. uhm.. Are you busy?”
He knew his bestfriend too well not to notice the meaning in the younger one's actions. With Chinen not looking him in the eye, and him moving slowly towards him, Yuto knew there was something going on, “No.. Why? Is there something wrong, Chii?” He asked gently.
Chinen was now sat beside Yuto on the bed. The older one could only look at him, as he took a deep breath and let it out first, before replying, “Uhn..” Chinen now looked at Yuto, his eyes were already watery..
“I.. I can tell you, right.. Yuu? I can tell you why..” The younger one only had one person he could trust. And this was his bestfriend, Nakajima Yuto.
“Of course you can, Chii. You know I'm always here for you..” Yuto knew how fragile Chinen was, how sensitive he was.. so he made his voice gentle, along with the hug he pulled Chinen in to.
“You can tell me what's wrong Chii.. Just let it out..” Even though the thing I hate the most is seeing you in pain..
That was all it took for those hurtful tears to come rolling from Chinen's welled up eyes. They could finally be released.
He felt so open when he was with Yuto, like he can tell him anything.. spill everything..
With Yuto hugging him, gently rubbing his hand on Chinen's back, comforting him.. Chinen felt like he could carry on, “I-It's a-abou-ou-t Yu-Yum-ma..” He tried between his tears. It was very painful for him.
Yuma..?! Yuto's eyebrows furrowed and his expression showed his anger. What have you done to Chii now?! I swore I would kill you if you made Chii cry again.. You better get ready..
Yuto managed to calm down since he knew this was not the time to be cursing. He needed to be there for Chinen. He listened as the younger continued to speak.
“H-Have I to-old you? H-He's back he-re a-and he's the other memb-er of NYC..”
Ah right, Chii doesn't know that JUMP already knows about this, because it was Yamada who told us.
“Yuu.. do y-ou still remember..” More tears fell, harder this time, “What h-happened five y-years ago..? I t-told you I'd f-forget what happened with me a-nd Y-Yuma-kun and act like we're j-just like we we-were when he co-comes back..” Chinen tried to breath steadily, “B-But.. Yuu.. It still hurts.. The pain.. it's still there.. Only now.. it's deeper..”
Yuto hugged Chinen tighter.
“I.. It was okay u-up unt-til.. He mentioned t-the bracelet. Y-You know.. the one h-he bought as a p-present for m-my eleven-th bi-rthday.. After that.. I remembered everything.. I didn't want to do that..! All the p-pain came back.. I couldn't d-do anything..”
Yuto didn't know what to say.. His anger just kept piling up inside him.. He hated the fact that Chinen's in this state again because of Yuma. How many times do you have to hurt Chii, Yuma? How many..?!
“Yuu.. can you tell me..? It hurts.. so bad.. Tell me why, Yuu.. onegai..” Chinen only sobbed harder, he kept on trying to stop it, but even he knew himself it was impossible to do so.
Yuto wanted to tell Chinen to just stop seeing the guy. If Chinen carries on being with Yuma, after all of this, the pain would only get worse. But Yuto knew that that wouldn't be fair. Even though Chinen is feeling this way, he knew that Chinen still wants to see Yuma. He couldn't tell the younger one his thoughts, since it would only make matters worse.
There were a few more minutes with Yuto hugging Chinen, trying to comfort him, still rubbing his hand down his back. It was the only thing the older one could do for his bestfriend at the moment, just be with Chinen.
Gradually, the younger one's sobbing had stopped, and soon only sniffles were being heard. Chinen took another deep breath and sighed like he just let a load off his chest. Then he began wiping the evidence of the pain he wanted to forget, from his cheeks - his dried up tears.
He wriggled slightly, making Yuto loosen his grip around the younger one, then Chinen looked at him. “Yuu.. arigatou,” Chinen finally smiled. “Thanks for listening to me.. Thanks for always being here for me..”
Yuto returned the heartfelt smile, “No problem. You're like my little brother who I feel like I always need to look after, anyway,” he giggled. “You know I'm always here for you.” Then he ruffled Chinen's hair lightly.
The younger one couldn't help but to giggle too, “Uhn, I know. You're like my Niichan too!”
After the two shared a laugh, Yuto just wanted to make sure, “Hey, Chii? Do you want to sleep here tonight?”
“Nah, don't worry, it's okay,” Chinen began to make his way to the door, “You've already got Ryu and Shin-chan staying here, it'll be too much if I bunk here too, hehe.”
“Oh.. Okay then. Just as long as you're fine.” Yuto smiled again.
“Uhn. I'll go back to Yamada's room, and take a shower before I sleep.” Chinen got to the door, but stopped his steps further, as he held onto the handle. He looked back at Yuto, “Yuu?”
“Hmm?”
“Thanks for everything.” One more smile and a 'goodnight' then Chinen headed to the bedroom he shared. He felt less suffocated and the heavy load inside him disappeared.
I'm glad Chii's back to his normal self, at least. Yuto sighed in relief.
He was just about to stand up and change, when he suddenly heard the door creak open.
Yuto looked to it's direction, and once again, he was surprised, “..Ryutaro..? You were there, outside?” He.. could he have seen me and Chii..? If he saw us that close.. Yuto dreaded the thought. “..How long have you been out there..?”
Ryutaro looked up at the older one, eyes expressing something not pleasant at all, “Long enough.”
..He did see us. “Look, Ryutaro, it's not what you think--”
“How can you do this Yuto..?! You know I like Chii-kun and how much I got hurt last time when I saw Yamada.. kissing him, but despite all of this, I come here and see you, what? HUGGING him..?!!” Ryutaro completely blew his top, he was definitely angered. “I knew there was something wrong with Chii-kun.. I knew there was something bothering him.. But why does it have to be YOU who comforts him..?! Why did he come to YOU..?! He didn't tell me what was wrong.. but he told YOU..?! Why Yuto, why..?! You could've let me comfort him.. but instead YOU did it. I can't believe you.. I thought you didn't want me to be sad, in any way. But.. you do this..?! I can't believe you.”
Yuto didn't know what to think. Different, hurful emotions just kept flowing inside him, “What?!” He couldn't help it anymore, he was in pain too, “What're you on about, Ryutaro?! You do know that Chii's my bestfriend right? So I DO have the right to comfort him when he's feeling bad. You know I just can't leave him alone when something's bothering him, and look, you're not the only one who loves Chii..!! You know how much I care for him, and I hate it most when he's in pain, so I'd do anything to make him feel better. And much more in this situation, because you know why he was so upset? It's because of Yuma. Did you know he came back? I'm sure you're aware of how bad this situation is, and this is the cause of why Chii acted like this. Why would you say that I can't comfort my own bestfriend? Does that even sound right to you..?! Yes, I know that you love him, and yes, I don't want you to be sad in any way, but you've got to keep in mind.. you're not the only one who loves Chii..”
Seeing how Yuto reacted.. Hearing him shout and get angry at him for the first time.. and knowing the reason behind Chinen's actions, Ryutaro realized how he was the one who was wrong this time, “Y..Yuto.. I..--”
Yuto stared at Ryutaro in the eye, “You're not the only one in pain.” Can't you realize that I get hurt when I see you with Chii, too..?
Yuto took a bag beside his bed, and walked out the door. That one tear couldn't help it anymore, it exposed itself and rolled down Yuto's right cheek. “I'm sleeping in the living room.”
Ryutaro saw that teardrop and heard Yuto's deep tone, “W-Wait.. Yuto..!” But it was too late, he couldn't run after him.
Ryutaro's feet froze on Yuto's bedroom floor, Yuto ran down the stairs, both their hearts felt like they were being squeezed out of blood, as the only thought that repeated in their mind's were What have I done..?
The two regretted what just happened between them.

Yamada entered his bedroom, coming from downstairs and questioning himself why Yuto ran down to the living room, eye's noticeably welled up. He shrugged the thought away, and closed the door behind him.
As he walked closer to his closet, he came across the little table next to the area Chinen slept. He stopped his feet from taking more steps when his eyes caught sight of the flashing phone on the table. ..A call? Wait, this is that Chibinen's phone, right?
Yamada leaned closer, and automatically he found himself looking at the caller ID. It's that Yuma guy again? He rolled his eyes, and held Chinen's phone in his hands. He turned his head around the room, checking if the younger one was in sight. Yamada saw his bathroom's light turned on, and puffs of steam coming from its door, so he guessed that Chinen was taking a shower.
He was still curious of why Chinen didn't answer Yuma's call ealier, so he wanted to find out why. Yamada thought that answering this call now was how he'd know. He picked up the phone almost by insticnt, then that's when he heard it, the voice he grew to hate somehow, Yuma's voice.
“Hey.. Chii?” A pause. “Okay.. I know you might not want to talk to me right now, so.. just listen.”
Eh..? Did something happen between them? Yamada asked himself as he kept quiet.
“About what happened today.. I'm sorry. I didn't think it would turn out like that. I was just happy that you still wear the bracelt I gave you.. so I couldn't help but tell you that I'm happy.. You know I don't like it when you're sad.. so please, don't be. I'm sorry.. I'll make it up to you, I promise.” His voice turned quiter, almost like a whisper, “I didn't mean to hurt you..” Then he spoke the last sentence in a normal tone, “Accept my apology.. I'll see you soon.. okay? Take care Chii.”
There was a beep as Yuma hung up.
Yamada was speechless.
Just as he managed to put the phone back down on the table, Chinen came out of the bathroom, dressed in baggy shorts and an oversized t-shirt, hair still wet, with a small towel around his neck.
“..Yamada?” His eyes landed on the older one's figure, standing beside the table, who looked frozen, “Uhh.. You oka--”
Chinen couldn't finished his question, as he suddenly felt a source of warmth pressed against his body.
Almost too quickly, Yamada made his way to Chinen and unconsciously, he pulled the guy in his arms.
“Chinen..” His breath touched upon Chinen's neck, making the younger one more surprised..
C..Chinen..? He didn't call me Chibinen this time.. “Y-Yamada..? Why are yo--”
“I'm sorry.” The older one hugged the figure his arms wrapped around, tighter.
“What do you mea--”
“I'm sorry for leaving you today.. With that Yuma guy.” I was only thinking about myself.. If I hadn't payed attention to my own feelings.. and instead noticed how you felt.. How hurt you were having Yuma remind you of your past.. I wouldn't have left you.. “Gomen, Chinen..”
What is this feeling..? Today I've been hugged by three other people.. but being embraced by Yamada like this.. it's a wholly different feeling.. Even from Yuu's hug.. Chinen knew his face increased in temperature. And he thought that after having a shower he'd feel less heat.. Now he's thinking twice, since his blush grew more red. I don't know what this feeling is.. But, Yamada's warmth.. It feels.. Nice..
Soon enough, the arms holding him in a tight embrace, released his body and the warmth was replaced with the cold air of the bedroom.
Chinen looked at Yamada, who had now turned his back from him and walked to Chinen's sleeping area. The younger one wondered what just happened, and why, as he finally snapped out of his trance.
“Sleep on my bed tonight,” Yamada stated plainly, as he fixed the blankets on the floor to make a good-enough bed.
“Oh, uhh, okay,” Was the only reply Chinen could make. His eyes trailed over to the comfy-looking bed, then caught sight of the bedside table.
“I knew you haven't eaten yet, so I grabbed you a few pieces of gyoza from downstairs. No one ate it since we all know you love gyoza,” Yamada explained, without turning around and looking at Chinen, “Eat it before you sleep.”
Chinen smiled. He did eat his favourite food, finishing the whole plate, then made himself comfortable on Yamada's bed.
A lot has happened today, but the only moment that occupied his mind was the one he shared with Yamada. The one image that was planted in his thoughts were him being in Yamada's soft embrace.
He does annoy me and call me 'Chibinen' all the time.. but still, at times he's really kind to me.. I wonder why..
The last sentence repeated in Chinen's head as he gradually dropped off into a deep slumber..

It's because of Yuma. Did you know he came back? I'm sure you're aware of how bad this situation is, and this is the cause of why Chii acted like this. Why would you say that I can't comfort my own bestfriend? Does that even sound right to you..?! Yes, I know that you love him, and yes, I don't want you to be sad in any way, but you've got to keep in mind.. you're not the only one who loves Chii..”
Seeing how Yuto reacted.. Hearing him shout and get angry at him for the first time.. and knowing the reason behind Chinen's actions, Ryutaro realized how he was the one who was wrong this time, “Y..Yuto.. I..--”
Yuto stared at Ryutaro in the eye, “You're not the only one in pain.” Can't you realize that I get hurt when I see you with Chii, too..?
Yuto took a bag beside his bed, and walked out the door. That one tear couldn't help it anymore, it exposed itself and rolled down Yuto's right cheek. “I'm sleeping in the living room.”
Ryutaro saw that teardrop and heard Yuto's deep tone, “W-Wait.. Yuto..!” But it was too late, he couldn't run after him.
Ryutaro's feet froze on Yuto's bedroom floor, Yuto ran down the stairs, both their hearts felt like they were being squeezed out of blood, as the only thought that repeated in their mind's were What have I done..?
The two regretted what just happened between them.

Yamada entered his bedroom, coming from downstairs and questioning himself why Yuto ran down to the living room, eye's noticeably welled up. He shrugged the thought away, and closed the door behind him.
As he walked closer to his closet, he came across the little table next to the area Chinen slept. He stopped his feet from taking more steps when his eyes caught sight of the flashing phone on the table. ..A call? Wait, this is that Chibinen's phone, right?
Yamada leaned closer, and automatically he found himself looking at the caller ID. It's that Yuma guy again? He rolled his eyes, and held Chinen's phone in his hands. He turned his head around the room, checking if the younger one was in sight. Yamada saw his bathroom's light turned on, and puffs of steam coming from its door, so he guessed that Chinen was taking a shower.
He was still curious of why Chinen didn't answer Yuma's call ealier, so he wanted to find out why. Yamada thought that answering this call now was how he'd know. He picked up the phone almost by insticnt, then that's when he heard it, the voice he grew to hate somehow, Yuma's voice.
“Hey.. Chii?” A pause. “Okay.. I know you might not want to talk to me right now, so.. just listen.”
Eh..? Did something happen between them? Yamada asked himself as he kept quiet.
“About what happened today.. I'm sorry. I didn't think it would turn out like that. I was just happy that you still wear the bracelt I gave you.. so I couldn't help but tell you that I'm happy.. You know I don't like it when you're sad.. so please, don't be. I'm sorry.. I'll make it up to you, I promise.” His voice turned quiter, almost like a whisper, “I didn't mean to hurt you..” Then he spoke the last sentence in a normal tone, “Accept my apology.. I'll see you soon.. okay? Take care Chii.”
There was a beep as Yuma hung up.
Yamada was speechless.
Just as he managed to put the phone back down on the table, Chinen came out of the bathroom, dressed in baggy shorts and an oversized t-shirt, hair still wet, with a small towel around his neck.
“..Yamada?” His eyes landed on the older one's figure, standing beside the table, who looked frozen, “Uhh.. You oka--”
Chinen couldn't finished his question, as he suddenly felt a source of warmth pressed against his body.
Almost too quickly, Yamada made his way to Chinen and unconsciously, he pulled the guy in his arms.
“Chinen..” His breath touched upon Chinen's neck, making the younger one more surprised..
C..Chinen..? He didn't call me Chibinen this time.. “Y-Yamada..? Why are yo--”
“I'm sorry.” The older one hugged the figure his arms wrapped around, tighter.
“What do you mea--”
“I'm sorry for leaving you today.. With that Yuma guy.” I was only thinking about myself.. If I hadn't payed attention to my own feelings.. and instead noticed how you felt.. How hurt you were having Yuma remind you of your past.. I wouldn't have left you.. “Gomen, Chinen..”
What is this feeling..? Today I've been hugged by three other people.. but being embraced by Yamada like this.. it's a wholly different feeling.. Even from Yuu's hug.. Chinen knew his face increased in temperature. And he thought that after having a shower he'd feel less heat.. Now he's thinking twice, since his blush grew more red. I don't know what this feeling is.. But, Yamada's warmth.. It feels.. Nice..
Soon enough, the arms holding him in a tight embrace, released his body and the warmth was replaced with the cold air of the bedroom.
Chinen looked at Yamada, who had now turned his back from him and walked to Chinen's sleeping area. The younger one wondered what just happened, and why, as he finally snapped out of his trance.
“Sleep on my bed tonight,” Yamada stated plainly, as he fixed the blankets on the floor to make a good-enough bed.
“Oh, uhh, okay,” Was the only reply Chinen could make. His eyes trailed over to the comfy-looking bed, then caught sight of the bedside table.
“I knew you haven't eaten yet, so I grabbed you a few pieces of gyoza from downstairs. No one ate it since we all know you love gyoza,” Yamada explained, without turning around and looking at Chinen, “Eat it before you sleep.”
Chinen smiled. He did eat his favourite food, finishing the whole plate, then made himself comfortable on Yamada's bed.
A lot has happened today, but the only moment that occupied his mind was the one he shared with Yamada. The one image that was planted in his thoughts were him being in Yamada's soft embrace.
He does annoy me and call me 'Chibinen' all the time.. but still, at times he's really kind to me.. I wonder why..
The last sentence repeated in Chinen's head as he gradually dropped off into a deep slumber..
