Again, I'm not so confident about this, because I think I wrote it making the story too slow. I'm sorry! I tried the best I can! Hope you still enjoy reading, though!! >~<
Notes for this chappie: ouwha!! i wrote one chapter today.. uhh and it's late Y-Y gomen. and uhh, it was Dai-chan's birthday yesterday, and i started writing this chapter that day, so for this chapter and chapter 11 think of it as the day of Dai-chan's birthday! XDD hope you enjoy! :D

Chapter Ten: Dream And At The Terrace
“Ryu..taro,” Ryutaro heard his name, softly being called out. “R-” Then suddenly he felt the grip on both his hands get tighter, stronger... “Ryutaro!!” The voice now yelled, as if he'd lose the one in any moment.
Ryutaro opened his eyes, only then realizing he was actually sleeping.
After he blinked for a few times and when he managed to figure out he was in his bedroom, on his bed, Ryutaro immediately sensed two long arms wrap tight around him. He felt the other's warmth only seconds later.
Who is this..? The clueless one asked himself. And just as if the person holding him, read his mind, he pulled lightly away, and that's when his identity was revealed.
“Yuto...” The younger one unknowingly said aloud.
Yuto just smiled at him. Thoughts far from understanding.
This... is weird. Ryutaro told himself. What's happening...?
Then suddenly, another voice was heard. This time, much louder and the younger knew his guess of who it was could not be wrong.
“Yuto-kuuun~~~!!!” Shintaro called. It seemed like he was in a different room.
Ryutaro saw Yuto turn to the door, “Yes?” He made his voice higher than normal.
“Can you help me with washing my back please?” The other replied with a tone of mixed shyness and happiness.
Ryutaro's eyes definitely widened at this. And how much more it grew when Yuto's answer came, “Sure!~ I'll be right there!”
Yuto completely let go of Ryutaro now, no contact in any other ways. He stood up and headed to the bathroom, not once looking back at Ryutaro.
The younger one was left in shock, and he couldn't believe what was happening.
“Yuto?? Where are you going?? Are you leaving me??” He felt his face burn, liquid texture in his eyes, “Yuto..??”
“NOOOOOOOOO!!!!!”
“What?! What??! What???!” Yuto loudly banged his bedroom door open, seeing Ryutaro stiff and sitting up on his bed. He was worried why the younger one screamed, and automatically he rushed up to see what's happened.
Huffing for air, Yuto looked at Ryutaro, eyes saying he wanted an answer.
“DON'T WASH SHINTARO'S BACK!!!” The other one yelled again, now facing Yuto.
“...Huh?” The older one stood, clearly confused. Shintaro's... back..? What?
Ryutaro quickly blinked. There were still a few seconds before reality was slowly entering his brain, and realization was gradually coming back to him.
He looked away from Yuto. What..? That... It was a dream? He's not... Shintaro's not in the bathroom either... He scrunched his eyes. Holy hamsters, I even told him not to wash Shintaro's back!!
“Uhh... Are you okay?” Yuto didn't know what to say in the surprising situation he was in right now.
“Oh, uhm...” Ryutaro tried to hide his embarrassment, but he knew he failed since it was taking him so long to answer. “Y-Yeah. Uhh... Forget about what I said just then...” He managed.
“Oh... Okay.” That was the only thing Yuto could think of for his reply.
And for the next long seconds, as if it wasn't happening too often, there was another dragging moment of complete silence.
No one uttered a word.
None of them were speaking, and none of them moved. And even though their conversation seemed like it had ended, to Yuto and Ryutaro, the silence felt like a continuation.
Anyone could tell that their shared moment was to not be disturbed, but there was just that one person who would always pretend that he couldn't tell.
“Yuto-kuuun~~~!!!” And there came Shintaro's voice. The sound coming from far away, made Ryutaro unable to wonder if he was still in his dream.
“Yes?” Yuto replied after turning around, his voice higher than normal.
Wait... My dream... It can't be coming true, can it..?! Ryutaro didn't know why he was panicking.
“Come on!! Let's eat!! I'm so hungry~~!!” The younger Morimoto's reply unconsciously made Ryutaro feel relieved.
At least it's not about any washing of someone's body... He shook his head. Wait..! Why would I even care if it WAS anyway?
“Oh, uhh, yeah. Okay! I'll be right down!” Yuto now faced his body in front of the door, and began to walk out of his bedroom, not turning to look back at Ryutaro.
W-Wait... No... This is somehow... like my... dream. Ryutaro was forced to remember the last weird scenes in his head, and he felt... uncomfortable. No... I don't want it to end the same...
He opened his mouth to talk, even though the older one had left the room already, Ryutaro still thought his voice would reach him. But he couldn't even form his words out. He didn't know what to say.
Reality was like his dream now, that's what he had acknowledged. He thought it was going to be exactly like his dream, Yuto leaving him, not looking back at him. Why do I care so much?
At that exact moment, shock filled the whole of Ryutaro's body, as Yuto showed his head from the side of the door.
Yuto smiled at Ryutaro.
The younger one could feel a slight tingle of relief quietly but quickly spark inside him. E-Eh..? This wasn't... in my dream... Ryutaro felt quite happy, but at this moment, he ignored that emotion, denying it. After all, why would he be happy?
“Just wanted to say,” Still smiling warmly, Yuto began to speak, “Today being Dai-chan's birthday, uhh.. Takaki-kun said to us this morning when Dai-chan was still sleeping that we're not 'allowed' to greet him happy birthday yet.” He continued, quoting the word allowed with his two fingers on both hands.
“Oh, yeah. I was just going to ask where Dai-chan is actually,” Ryutaro replied, trying to sound convincing. “So why does Takaki-kun not want us to greet Dai-chan? I bet he has plans...” He trailed off.
Yuto let out a surprised laugh, “You actually got that right! Well, he said that he wants to take Dai-chan somewhere first, he also said that the place is a secret... They've actually gone now, well it's been like at least two hours since they left the house.” Ryutaro just nodded, taking in the information. “But when they come back later, we can have our own little party with just us here, he said. And it's only then that we can say to Dai-chan, happy birthday.” Yuto chuckled, “Those two would just do anything to make each other happy~!! And to be alone together..”
“Uhn! Sou ne.” Ryutaro smiled, and just like the old times, they were having a proper conversation. Their happy, normal, proper conversation.
“Yuto-kun!!! Mou~ Let's eat already!!” The two heard Shintaro's voice come loud from the kitchen again, and even though they couldn't see the youngest, both of them knew that Shintaro was pouting.
Yuto stopped his chuckling, but still cracked a smile, as he realized he had kept the little one waiting. “Ah, eat. Right,” He scratched the back of his head before another sentence was spoken, “Uhm... you wanna come eat too?”
Yuto looked at Ryutaro and their eyes met. I still get shy when this happens...
Why does it seem like... I have a different feeling when I meet his eyes than when I did in the past..? “Uhh, no thanks,” Ryutaro suddenly blurted out. He knew he didn't even think about the question, his answer just came automatically. “I'll eat later.” For some reason, his tone was... cold. Ryutaro didn't realize, and this clearly was not intended.
Pain. “Oh... Okay then.” Yuto turned to face the stairs. I was expecting too much from only that conversation and that one gaze...”Just... Make you sure you eat... okay?” Then footsteps were heard against the hard, waxed wooden floors of the stairs.
~-~
After a few minutes, Ryutaro got up from his bed, fixed himself, then went outside of Yuto's bedroom.
He didn't really know where to go. Even though he decided to actually get up, his legs just walked aimlessly on the second floor of the JUMP house.
Ah, this terrace. Ryutaro's ghostly pacing successfully stopped, as his eyes caught sight of the only terrace the house had. Yamada's terrace.
Ryutaro slowly approached it, sensing the quite strong breeze blow past his body, as he entered through the open doors.
Hmm... This feels nice. His feet lead him to the rails at the edge of the terrace, the view of the light yellow sun, centred in the wonderful mixture of different calming colours spread through the sky, clouds scattered in that wide space, complementing the scene, made the view look entirely beautiful.
Ryutaro breathed in, then breathed out. A smile was formed. It's been a while... Since I felt this... calm. It was like his thoughts had vanished just for this one moment, letting himself rest and cool off.
Suddenly, he felt a presence somewhere near him, beside him. Ryutaro turned to his right. When he saw who it was, he was a bit shocked, but like always, didn't show it.
“Yamada.”
“Ryutaro.”
The two said. In their way, probably that's how far their greeting was going to go.
Both of them were still not in good terms. After all, both of them knew they loved the same person...
No one knew this was the place Yamada goes to when he needs a breather, and if anyone was to know, Ryutaro would be the last person.
The two stood in silence. Both of them wanted to clear their heads, but like always, it isn't that easy. The thoughts in their mind were just too important to be left and ignored.
Yamada still hadn't found himself. His heart still ached and he wanted to burst out in rage, every time he remembered the disturbing scene Chinen and Yuma shared. Stupid bracelet. Actually... I'm stupid. Stupid for ever even getting it back for that Chibinen.
Ryutaro looked at the vast sky, there was something bothering him, something new. But the clueless person he was, he thought that the reason was caused by something else. He sighed. Chii-kun... I wonder how he's doing. I haven't seen him around so much now... And yesterday, he wasn't here for the whole day. And I doubt he even knows Shintaro's come to live here... His expression became sad. I miss him.
Before he knew it, Ryutaro started to replay the times he spent with Chinen, in his mind. When they were together, their funny moments, their crazy ones, their... weird ones. Then that's when he remembered. Ryutaro remembered the bathroom incident, and him and Yuto getting mad at Yamada. Then he remembered Chinen telling him to apologise to Yamada, since he suspected him of hurting Chinen... But Ryutaro didn't do it. How could he do it when he witnessed Yamada kissing his loved one? Kissing Chinen? How could anyone apologise after seeing them kiss the one you love?!
Unconsciously, Ryutaro let out a huff. But with Yamada being fully occupied with his own issues, he failed to notice this.
Well, I did tell Chii-kun that I'd say sorry to Yamada. He rolled his eyes. Guess I'll do it now since I doubt I'll ever feel this generous again any other time.
“Hey, Yamada,” Ryutaro faced the other, who started to eye him strangely after the younger began to talk, “About last time, you know, of getting angry at you 'cause I thought you did something bad to Chii-kun,” He saw Yamada's expression that remained the same, but looked liked he knew what the other was on about, so Ryutaro continued. He looked away first, making his voice sound like he couldn't care less, “Yeah, about that. Sorry.”
He looked back at Yamada, for a split second, then headed back inside.
The older one was left, admittedly surprised by the sudden ending of the sentence. Yamada didn't think that Ryutaro would ever apologies to him. His eyes followed the younger one as he gradually disappeared inside.
I only did it because of Chii-kun...
