Well I got the short that was rejected for being too long down to under 1000 words-- and 1500 words done on the new short.

Tomorrow I write the cover letter and send it off to Analog.

So, here I was talking to namfle online about short stories, complaining how I never get ideas for them.

What happens? I get an idea. As of right now I'm 1400 words into a short story with an unnamed protagonist and a ten inch tall demon who wants to be called Princess. Summoning meets SEO.

After yesterday's news I've not been in the best of spirits, but today I got a bit of a boost.
