I can't believe it... most people in my group are living for the US tomorrow morning. This semester went by so fast!!! I only have about 2 weeks left over here, and after a semester of missing home, I feel like I'm not ready to leave!!! i think that going back to the US is going to be a very surreal experience. today i saw US money... it looked SOOOOOOOO weird!!!!!

I HAVE A SUMMER JOB!!! whee!! i got a job at the Education for Peace in Iraq Center, so I'm probably going to work there since I sort of want to be in DC this summer. Hurrah!!! .. but i'm gonna wait a few more days and see if I get offered the job in San Diego as well.

I figured out today why my rural homestay was so hard when everyone else's seemed so much easier. After visiting a bunch of other people's rural homestays to do interviews, including ones that lived in the same area as me, I discovered that my rural homestay family was much more conservative than all the other's I've seen.
