1.5 days
The end is here! I have about a day and half left in Amman. I got back to Jordan a couple days ago after spending a week traveling over on the other side of the river. It was fun and interesting, but very hard and tiring. I saw alot of things though! It's pretty cool to see all these places that you've heard so much about... We flew from Tel Aviv to Eilat, and saw the Dome of the Rock and the Old City of Jerusalem from above, and that was an amazing site!
Now I'm just trying to say bye to people here.. I feel so weird about leaving! I'm really sad to be leaving Jordan. It was really hard to be here alot of the time, but you always look back on things with rose-colored lenses, and I'm sad! Also, I think I'd finally started to adjust to the culture (I have to say it was a shock to be in Israel and see everyone dressed the way they were.. my dad swore that that's the way people dress in the US, but it's weird that it shocks me so much.. also I noticed so many couples in Tel Aviv! My dad said he didn't notice anything unusual, but after not seeing couples touch in public for 4 months, it really stood out!).. Anyway, back to Jordan. I'm excited to go home, and see everyone that I haven't seen in forever, but I'm really sad to leave. I just feel pretty confused right now. I guess that's natural. It doesn't feel like I'm actually leaving, and I'm gonna be home before I know it.. and that will seem normal too....
