Clearly I prefer the second version. haha. But seriously - I love this line "Colby took a breath, feeling hands grabbing him. No, not grabbing - pulling." That is a great line. Well done.

my thought: a remix has to carry the same intent/feel as the original, right? (I almost did one where Alice Chen is shouting at Colby not to die - AU of the ep - but didn't, as I figured that the relationship was too different from your original.
