C.C. might not have looked like the type to bore easily, or to wander about on her own when she did. And yet here she was, stepping through the door of the Golden Dragon to have her fortune read.

She inquired after the fortune teller and found her way to the pirate's room, knocking quietly before entering, just as quietly.

"Tell me my fortune," she said, sitting herself down across from the girl and eyeing the cards with a small, impassive smile. She'd lived through many years of street "psychics" and frauds, as well as true magicians. Here, in Rivelata, this girl could easily be either one, and the green-haired witch was curious.

"Have a seat," said Renya, gesturing to the chair across from her. "D'ya have ten coppers? Can't do this f' free. Treasure huntin only pays some o' th' bills, an unlike my comrades I'm aware of tha' fact."

Oh. Money. She'd forgotten about that.

Luckily, C.C. had brought her journal with her, and at the pirate's request brought out the small coins and placed them on the table. It had been surprisingly difficult to get them, considering she only had an envelope of silver ladies to start with.

C.C. had ended up buying quite a lot of pizza ingredients to get an amount of change that she could carry.

"Ten coppers," she said, and smiled.

Renya took the coppers and put them in a small velvet pouch on the table, then handed the cards to CC. "Shuffle 'em, thinkin 'bout ye question. Keep it in mind while you shuffle, an try tae clear your head of all other concerns."

Well, Kariya couldn't say that he believed in this sort of nonsense. It was about as silly as Reaper Creeper, in his opinion. That stupid game that mortals played... and that Players and Reapers used to mess with them. But it was only ten coppers, and with a forward payment from his salary at Mercury Retrograde, it wasn't that big a deal. Seemed like the locals were much more interested in insurance than the foreigners, and Kariya's selling ability in person was second to none. So why not? Not like he had anything better to do with his time.

So he tossed the coins up and down in his hand as he made his way to the inn turned pirate hideout, sucking on the lollipop in his mouth thoughtfully. He hadn't found any bean paste lollies, but the strawberry flavored ones from the sweets shop tickled his fancy just fine.

After inquiring from one of the pirates as to the location of the fortune teller, he headed up to her room and knocked, placing the hand with the cash in the pocket of his newly mended and patched hoodie.

Having finished with C.C., Renya, sauntered too the door and opened it with a flourish. "Ahh, ye must be tha' Kariya fellow. The one sellin in-sewer-ants?" She pronounced the word rather awkwardly. "Come in, sit down."

"Insurance. That's me, doll." Kariya closed the door behind him and placed the coppers in Renya's hand. "For your trouble."

The lanky reaper took a seat in the chair, fluttering his wings once and then folding them. He also removed his sunglasses, the eyes behind them as orange as the lenses. He relaxed in to the chair, looking as laid back as ever.

She took the coins and slipped them into the velvet pouch with a clink. That done, she handed Kariya the cards, just as she'd done with C.C. "Think of a question," she said, "clear your mind of all else, an' then shuffle th' cards while thinkin only o' tha' question.

Fortunes? She wasn't sure what to expect, in all honesty. Miranda had never participated in anything of the sort. But it was interesting. She was not foolish -- she knew not to expect the fortunes to be real. It wouldn’t seriously answer any sort of question she would have for the cards, would it? No, she didn’t think so.

The entire way to the Inn, she was thinking quietly of her question. What would she ask? Was there anything she wanted to know? It was strange. For once, she couldn’t think of something she wanted to know. Lately, everything had gotten better, if you did not count the pirate ship crashing in the market. She had somewhere to live, a nice job with a nice employer who seemed to have patience with her.

She walked through the Inn in silence, making her way to the woman’s room where she would do her reading. The inn was eerily quiet; all she could hear was the quiet steps of her shoes on the wooden floor.

Coming to a stop at the door, Miranda hesitantly raised a hand and knocked.

Renya answered a second before Miranda's hand hit the door - mostly becuase she's leaned out of the window and had seen the woman coming than any magical precognition.

"Hello, miss Miranda," she said, having read the journals to find the girl's name. "Come in, sit down, make yeself comfortable."

She blinked when the door open, a sheer look of confusion spread out across the woman’s face as she stood there with one hand held up, as she’d been just about to hit the door. Well, then.

“H-hello, miss…” She said, stepping inside the room quietly, and glancing around briefly before her eyes settled back on Renya.

Michael had never been particularly religious, not after everything Lincoln and him had gone through as children. Never knowing his father, losing his mother- and his brother for some time. In Fox River he had only ever gone to church to speak with Lincoln, though had to admit that the chapel had began to gain some significance. The day his brother was supposed to have been executed, he had prayed ( ... )

Renya opened the door as soon as she heard footsteps on the stairs, leaning out to see who it was.

"Michael, right?" she said. "One o' th' other in-sure-ants folk? Come in, sit down."

With that, she disappeared back inside, leaving the door open for him.

Yuuri followed the instructions that had been left in the pirate-lady's journal and made his way down to the location she'd specified.

It was a little dark inside, and he had to give his eyes a moment to adjust. After that, he called out cautiously, so as not to disturb anything. "Hello? Anyone still here?"

Renya popped out from behind a curtain near one of her windows, where she'd been smoking.

"Oii, kiddo, ye not too late. Got ten coppers?"

The room smelled heavily of smoke, but he could ignore it for now. Yuuri rummaged around in his pockets until he pulled out the correct change. It had been hard to get the hang of how the currency worked, but between him and Wolfram, they'd figured it out.

He deposited the coins on the nearest table and looked up at her expectantly. "So, I've never done this before. What do I do?"

Renya slid by, taking the coins and slipping them into her coinpouch. "Righ then," she said, handing him the cards, "Think o' ye question and shuffle these. When ye done shufflin 'em, spread 'em out on th' table face-down an pick seven, then hand those seven to me. "
