Fortunes? She wasn't sure what to expect, in all honesty. Miranda had never participated in anything of the sort. But it was interesting. She was not foolish -- she knew not to expect the fortunes to be real. It wouldn’t seriously answer any sort of question she would have for the cards, would it? No, she didn’t think so.

The entire way to the Inn, she was thinking quietly of her question. What would she ask? Was there anything she wanted to know? It was strange. For once, she couldn’t think of something she wanted to know. Lately, everything had gotten better, if you did not count the pirate ship crashing in the market. She had somewhere to live, a nice job with a nice employer who seemed to have patience with her.

She walked through the Inn in silence, making her way to the woman’s room where she would do her reading. The inn was eerily quiet; all she could hear was the quiet steps of her shoes on the wooden floor.

Coming to a stop at the door, Miranda hesitantly raised a hand and knocked.

Renya answered a second before Miranda's hand hit the door - mostly becuase she's leaned out of the window and had seen the woman coming than any magical precognition.

"Hello, miss Miranda," she said, having read the journals to find the girl's name. "Come in, sit down, make yeself comfortable."

She blinked when the door open, a sheer look of confusion spread out across the woman’s face as she stood there with one hand held up, as she’d been just about to hit the door. Well, then.

“H-hello, miss…” She said, stepping inside the room quietly, and glancing around briefly before her eyes settled back on Renya.

"Ten coppers," she said, settling down in her chair, "An then we can get started on this."

Miranda nodded softly and placed the ten coppers on the table after pulling them out of her pocket. She looked up at Renya as she quietly sat herself down in the chair at the table across from the pirate. She had read the journal, and the explanation of how this worked. Now she was only curious to see what would happen.

“D-do I think of a question, now..?” She asked.

Renya handed the girl the stack of cards, nodding. "Shuffle 'em, think of your question, then spread 'em out on the table an' pick seven."

Another nod. She took the cards carefully in her hands and shuffled them, slowly, as she tried to think of a question. What was an appropriate question? She was unsure… Finally, a question came to mind, and it was easy to see that it did, as she began to shuffle the cards with a little more confidence.

Is this direction the right one for me?

And then she began to spread out the cards. After a moments pause, she picked out seven and laid them out as she was told. “T-there. Is that right?” She asked.
