This morning I actually got to sleep a little, which was awesome. I was up late working on a homework assignment and the fact that I was able to sleep 'till 8:00 was incredible. So C and I had to run into town today after school so that I could meet with my advisor and so she could pick up some fish food and we could scope out the HUGE new Goodwill store. We headed to the barn after to pick Cam's stall and take care of Chuck and Rosey's stalls and waters. I felt bad for Cam because the only time she has gotten out of her ( Read more... )

Cam seems to be doing better. Yesterday C and I walked her down to the bridge and back so she could have some supervised, controlled exercise. She was VERY glad to be out. She is not liking being stuck in her stall all the time one little bit. I jogged a little bit on the way back and she trotted for a few steps. Nothing major, just enough to keep ( Read more... )

So the vet came out again this morning at 8:30am to give Cam another shot. C and I timed it better today so that the vet could get a good look at her knee. Yesterday we weren't sure what time the vet was coming, and not 5 minutes after we re-wrapped it, the vet walked in. So today we knew she would be back around the same time and had Cam's knee ( Read more... )

Quick Cam update. Vet came out and did 2nd IV shot. Cam is handling it like a pro. She still has a lot of swelling and pus draining and the vet is no longer very optimistic. I am trying really hard not to give up. She is back to bute 2x a day because she was more comfortable. I gave her full groomings twice today... Long day....

So the past few days have been hell. Complete hell.

Sunday morning C and I were at the barn working. We finished the stalls in the long part of the barn, as well as all of the paddocks but two. So, we are petsitting this week. A BIG beautiful chocolate lab. For the most part, he is an awesome dog. He barks when people show up but isn't too aggressive once they come inside. He doesn't chew, he doesn't make any messes, and he is relativley calm. The downside is that it is a small house ( Read more... )

So it was one our co-worker's birthday yesterday. She wanted to come out to the barn this weekend, so we made funfetti cupcakes with rainbow sprinkles on top and brought them to the barn this morning.
