Camelias

Cam seems to be doing better. Yesterday C and I walked her down to the bridge and back so she could have some supervised, controlled exercise. She was VERY glad to be out. She is not liking being stuck in her stall all the time one little bit. I jogged a little bit on the way back and she trotted for a few steps. Nothing major, just enough to keep her going and happy.

The vet came out again this morning and was happy with how Cam's knee looks. We still aren't out of the woods yet, but its still looking okay. She is still soaking through a lot of bandaging. I am still far less panicked than I was. The vet bills and other costs of this injury are really starting to add up though. I had to order more from KV Vet today and buy some stuff locally to keep us going till the stuff I ordered comes in. My parents pay for Cam (I pay for Charlie and C and I split Rosey) but I have been putting money into this adventure too. Between the first emergency call, the call after we found the pus, the baytril IV shots, the supplies, and the stuff I've had to buy locally, this is sure to be one hell of an expense.

I have to be out at the barn at 8:30am before school tomorrow to meet the vet for another IV shot. While C and I did the barn we put Cam out in Rosey's tiny paddock so that she could have a little bit of freedom. She had been just standing in her stall, ignoring her hay and pawing at her door. Once she was out we brought her hay to her and she started happily munching. Silly girl knows how to get what she wants.

After we finished the stalls, we took Cam all the way down to my house and back. Again, she was very excited to be outside. Between Cam's fast walk and C's short legs, Cam and I had to keep circling back to make sure she didn't get left too far behind. I called my Dad and had him bring Cammy out an apple, which she was very excited for. It must have been a juicy one, because she ended up with green froth all over her (and by default, all over me as well!) C decided to hang out at my house and I walked Cam back. It was very nice to get out and spend time with my pony the past couple days.

As promised, here is the pic of the epic mutant 5-leaf clover, as well as some awesome pics from our walks today and yesterday.
