Cam

So the vet came out again this morning at 8:30am to give Cam another shot. C and I timed it better today so that the vet could get a good look at her knee. Yesterday we weren't sure what time the vet was coming, and not 5 minutes after we re-wrapped it, the vet walked in. So today we knew she would be back around the same time and had Cam's knee unwrapped and ready.

The vet is actually starting to get optimistic again. The swelling is going down a little and the fluid draining isn't as pus-like, it is more clear. Cam is still soaking through a lot of bandaging, even with changing it every day, but that is not necessarily a bad thing. The fluid does have to come out at some point.

So it seems like things are starting to get better. The vet pulled the stitches out, because they weren't really doing anything anyway. I forgot the cotton standing wrap at home, so I called Mom and asked her to bring it over. In the meantime I took Cam out on the lawn and sat on my sweatshirt while she ate next to me.

So as long as she keeps responding to the baytril, we are going to do another IV dose tomorrow, and one on Monday. If things are continuing to look better we will probably switch back to the SMZ's after that. I can actually eat now without feeling sick. Rosey is still up keeping Cam company, and they definatley miss each other when I take one of them away. So, keep your fingers crossed.

On a side note, C and I went for a walk to take some pics when we  got home. I found a 5 leaf clover. Weird, I know. I have found 4's before, but never a 5. I didn't even think they existed. I took pics, so I will post them when I upload later. I think its a mutant, because each little leaf has its own sort of mini-stem, but it was growing on a plant with other 3 leaf ones. Anywho, Cam is going to eat it for a snack later this afternoon. It should be super good luck!
