I will have to go to London for training, after that they can post me wherever they see fit. I haven't got in this year, but I will keep trying until they are so fed up of my applications they let me in to shut me up ;)
I'd think that would be a good idea - esp if you remiond them you've applied before - in case it's different people who are dealing with applications. They are surely the kind of organization who appreciate enthusiasm
Well, we have discovered that your friend knew my cousin.... and another of the Trennels readers, coughingbear, is actually a colleague of my daughter's....
Yes, if you start another LJ, or a blog elsewhere, I should like to know about it please.
That's true - and she's certainly like us to keep in touch - she still misses him horribly. That's interesting about coughingbear. She was one of the first two people who helped me to sort out techie stuff about LJ
I'm sorry that you've lost the impetus for writing. I enjoy reading, and thinking of you in the places I love in North Wales. But, to keep it going, it has to be something that you find rewarding, too, in some way. If it isn't, then, as you say, it's time to reconsider.
And yes, if you do decide to delete and/or start again, please do let me know!
Will do - I'd certainly miss you if I gave up LJ altogether. I think that one of the reasons that I've got bored is the constraint of avoiding writing things that tend to identify me or other people, and that, of course, would get worse if I used my RL name. On the one hand, identifying oneself on line does seem to be a very bad idea. On the other hand, there do seem to be a great many people on line who jump to false conclusions if one exercises what I have always considered to be sensible precautions.
Thank you; I would miss you, too. And maybe there might still be a chance of us meeting at some point. I hope so.
Yes, the problem of identification is difficult. It's one of the reasons that I ended up locking all my posts - and even then, as you know, I tend to filter posts about other RL people, and use coded names. I don't mind talking about real life with people I have reason to trust, but I wouldn't leave things out there for every user of Google to find.
Oh good! You know, I didn't dare to forecast to myself which people I'd hear from, but if I had done so, it's already abundantly clear that I'd have got it right!
