summer in portland
Portland is the greatest place in summer...the weather's fine and there are a million things to do...On Thursday I spent the day at the Blues Festival...sitting on the grass on a warm day listening to some kick ass stuff...I've been riding my bike downtown most days...a great way to start the morning....downtown in summer is the best....Everybody ( Read more... ) -

yesterday I was accused of changing my words an actions so they would appear okay to (my accuser)...she also said they thought I was in love with her...jesus chrysler! fuckin' people anyway...I love her, but I'm not in love with her by a long shot...people are funny, but not ha ha funny....

So here I am, standing in the middle of a blazing fire...the flames are excruciatingly painful...do I jump out of the inferno and save myself?...why, hell no....I stand there burning up and wondering how I ended up here in the first place...and I ponder why it's burning me when I, of course, shouldn't be en fuego...the results? it seems like every year...
Seems like every year I get sick the minute I start my summer vacation....this morning I woke up with a sore throat, fever...and a whopper of a cold...guess I'm a good employee...always hold off until the work is complete...THEN I can get sick...started cleaning up yesterday at home...6 loads of dishes, scrubbing counters...still lots to go, but I ( Read more... ) -

Listen....I've been prepping for these delicious vegan lasagnas I'm making for my colleagues...roasting eggplants and peppers....sauteing wild mushrooms, making marinara...etc...I've been cooking since Saturday, and my kitchen is a total disaster....but man does the house smell great....I'll put the four huge lasagnas together tonight after my ( Read more... ) -
what a day!
battle of the bands was this afternoon....kids did a great job and it was a rockin show....3 months of work to put it together...As I was packing up my stuff and loading it into my truck, I realized how exhausted I am...I'm working on a dinner for 80 which gets put on Thursday...a tostada fest tomorrow for my kids,...the last week of school madness ( Read more... ) -

I have way too much on my plate...a recurring theme for me...I didn't get the job I was seeking...I still get to work at a place I love, so it's not a tragedy...had sort of a meltdown yesterday around a person who used to be a wonderful friend and now treats me with contempt....got through it okay and I'm alright this morning...I look forward to ( Read more... )
