First Flame [Accidental Voice]

Jan 20, 2010 10:28

[The journal is showing someone huddled up under a tree holding... fire? Sure. Obviously that New Feather clothing isn't keeping him at all warm. The journal picks up the occasional mutter, but he seems to be focusing most of his energy on the fire in front of his face.]

... hate snow ... Fire Lord ... Mai ... tea ...

Uh. Just hanging out, I guess.

Before you ask, let me fill you in: You've been kidnapped by some jerks called the Malnosso, they stuck wings on you, probably stole your clothes and hid them in the store, we're surrounded by an impenetrable barrier, and there's a bunch of other people here with us. Only not from our world. Except for Sokka. He's here, too.

Where are you?

Kidnapped? And put wings on us.[Sigh.]

I'm [Pause.] There are trees. And snow. I don't know where I am.

[Well, derek's new to this, and still getting oreinted himself, but...]

...I'm not sure exactly where you are, but there's a river that leads to a village. It's downstream, I think, although someone else may correct me on that. Follow it. There's shelter, food and clothing there for you.

Take the book with you.

Sure. In this place I don't know, I'll walk somewhere and hope it's the right place. No! Did you miss the part about snow?

[Pause.]

And what book?

[Pause.]

And where are you?

Yeah, I heard the part about snow; it's winter here. Try and locate the sound of running water; that should be the river that goes through town.

Follow my voice and you should find the book. All of us wake up with one, and it lets us communicate over distance.

I'm in town. If I knew for sure where you were, I'd come find you, but there's no use in two newcomers trying to locate each other in a place neither one of us know yet.

[The book will be picked up.]

All I can see are trees and snow.

Where is this village?

[Pause.]

Zuko!?

Uh, don't burn your journal! You might need that!

Sokka?!

Journal? Why would I have a journal?

[Voice] markofthewise January 20 2010, 01:57:20 UTC
Because you're talking to me through one!

We all hate the snow, kid. Best thing to do is get out of it. And y'know, make some sense.

I would get out of it. I don't know where I am though. So I don't know where out is.

[Zuko, you may be privvy to one very rare moment in which Seifer is moderately helpful.]

Briefly describe your surroundings. Or... d'you see the book? Yeah I'm sure everyone's goin' on about the damn book but trust me there's a reason for it. Hold it open and up so we can see where you are.

[The book is picked up and shown the surroundings. It really is all tree and snow, like what the middle of the forest south-west of the village looks like.]

I feel stupid showing a book the landscape.
