[Toph sits up when she senses familiar footsteps outside her room. She turns incredulously in the direction she feels the vibrations from, because those footsteps shouldn't be here. Just as she thinks she's imagining it all, she hears the voice of the person she thinks she's hallucinating. She can't make out words, but the voice is her mother's. ( Read more... ) -

[Over the journals there's a brief forest view and the sound of someone breathing quickly and harshly, like they're upset and about to cry. Suddenly there's a loud creaking and a crash, followed by a loud intake of breath. A small hand comes into view, reaches over, and closes the journal.]

[Toph's journal falls open and the sound of fighting is heard, as well as scraping metal-against-metal sounds, clattering, and breaking stone.
