It's almost April and somehow I've only read 6 novels for myself this year. I have been reading, of course, but mostly it's just been numerous short articles on aid and development, technical stuff on hydrology and river diversity, and newspapers. (Although at least with newspapers I read a fair amount in French.)

Went to the Otautahi Social Centre yesterday - for their open night and Francie's birthday. It's an awesome space. Mostly I just chatted to old activisty mates who I hadn't seen in a year, although some random ex-Hagley-er who I didn't recognise went on a card trick frenzy in my direction. My plane leaves this saturday and I will arrive in New Zealand on monday. So aside from loathing the idea of another long haul flight and the necessity of using plane toilets again, I am... happy?
