Mittens!
We adopted her last Thursday.
The poor thing used to be abused; she's missing her lower teeth. The vet say they think she's about three years old, but they can't be sure because they couldn't find any records of her birth date. She also has some allergies, but nothing that can't be dealt with. This however, made her poor choice for adopting ( Read more... ) -

I adopted Manny the end of last week from Petco through an organization called SMAWL (Southern Maryland Animal Welfare League). His birthday is January 1st, 2007, so that makes him about a year and a half old. He's still got a lot of kitten left in him. I posted a video if him on my Facebook:

'Brain' in Petri Dish Flies F-22
They made a god damned brain in a Petri dish. It was 'hooked up' to a flight sim and flew an F-22. They mention how it may be useful for finding a cure for epilepsy in the future. I don't know whether to be terrified or amazed.
