"Can't believe who likes what sort of thing?" came the question from behind. A familiar voice, too. And it didn't sound so pleased.

"What are you doing down here? Shouldn't you be studying?"

She tensed at the voice before snapping the book shut and holding it to her chest, glancing over her shoulder at the other girl with a frown, "I studied enough today."

She was just going to ignore the first question for the moment.

"Then I'm certain you won't mind cleaning up instead of wasting your time down here," Patchouli huffed. "And just what are you reading, anyways? Is that one of my books?"

"I already cleaned the bathroom and my part of the room's clean," Adela countered, sinking in the chair a little as a pink flush went across her face, "And no, it isn't. I got it from the library."

"She?"

Alyss circles around Adela, her hand dragging quietly behind her on the chair until she stops diagonal to her. With a slightly quizzical look, she leans back, hands popping her up from the table behind her.

"Who's she? If I may ask," she amends.

The book was immediately snapped shut and she made a slight noise at Alyss, one of her eyes twitching when she met the other girl's gaze, "It's none of your business."

"Fine, fine. You don't need to be so defensive, you know. I don't intend to bite your head off, despite your rudeness in the past." She 'tch'es, leaning forward a bit at her last sentence. She eyes the book, however.

"A cookbook?"

Adela pulled the book to her chest then, breaking eye contact and closing her eyes as she curled up more in the chair, "Why does it matter?"

I hope you don't mind, but Arle's gonna call Adela 'Red'. bayoeeen June 5 2011, 09:03:54 UTC
"Hey, Red," greeted a voice from behind, the said girl tiptoed to get a peek what her roommate was reading, "what'cha reading?"

Oh great. Adela snapped the book shut and immediately held it to her chest, getting a little pink as she turned to face Arle, "I told you to stop calling me that."

Arle paid no attention to Adela's complaint and tried to peer over the book's cover, "you didn't answer my question."

Marin's intent for coming down to the lounge was to study in preparation for an exam. When she opened the door, she wasn't expecting to see a familiar face. Not many people came to the lounge during those hours as far as she can remember, and she certainly wasn't expecting Adela to be present.

"..A-Adela?" she stammered, almost in a whisper, pressing her books closer to her chest.

The voice made her blink and she closed the book, holding the book to her chest when she turned to see that, yep, the mosquito buzz voice belonged to Marin, "Marin. What is it?"
