I hope you don't mind, but Arle's gonna call Adela 'Red'. bayoeeen June 5 2011, 09:03:54 UTC
"Hey, Red," greeted a voice from behind, the said girl tiptoed to get a peek what her roommate was reading, "what'cha reading?"

Haha, totally fair~ piercingshadow June 5 2011, 16:18:26 UTC
Oh great. Adela snapped the book shut and immediately held it to her chest, getting a little pink as she turned to face Arle, "I told you to stop calling me that."

Arle paid no attention to Adela's complaint and tried to peer over the book's cover, "you didn't answer my question."

"I don't want to answer your question."

"I already expected that," because with that she manage to make out a few words from the book's cover, and it surprised her because she didn't expect someone like Adela to do so. Never judge a book by their cover, she mentally notes.

"You cook?"

"I cook every day, why do you think I always keep food in the fridge," She grumbled, flushing a little as she tried to avoid making eye contact with Arle.

"No, I mean cook as in cooking sweets," the brunette corrected.

"What're you cooking anyways?"

Freaking. It was a cook book. A lot of cook books had more than just desserts, so how the hell did Arle...

At last Adela just sighed, looking down at the book even as she felt her face continuing to burn with her blushing, "... Mille-feuille."

"Ah, cool," it was pretty easy to noticed the book specialized in making sweets, French was her mother-tongue and all.

"It's in French though, need any help?"

Well, Arle was being nice enough to not bring up why the hell she wanted to make it, and even if Arle asked Adela would probably lie about it. Not that the lie was any better (in fact it was probably more embarrassing) but it would hold water.

"... Maybe with a few things, if I'm not sure. It's kind of surprising how similar French and Italiano are."

"It kinda is, it could get confusing though," admittedly, she only had read Italian from a small page once, and that alone had confuse her. While she doesn't necessarily think Adela as a friend, she hate to see her having some difficulty.

"So," she pause a moment to grab a seat next to Adela, "which part you need help with?"

"Well, this is what I could get of the ingredients, but some of them might be off, and there's no way I'm going to be able to read the directions," She answered, holding out the sheet of note paper she had for the recipe (she had written everything on there in English due to needing to practice it more anyway) before holding open the book to look it over, "I'm mostly confused about how to mix the pastry batter and the cream fillings."

The brunette carefully read her roommate's note and compared it to the original source, "Well, the ingredients aren't all off, and for the mixing, hold on a sec--" she quickly read then later grab Adela's pencil and paper to write out direction in quite a speed.

Haha totally fine, Adela needs the translation piercingshadow June 15 2011, 04:32:00 UTC
Adela seemed impressed at the quick translation, staring at the sheet while Arle continued to write. Jeez, she thought only Patchouli was capable of something like that...

A few more writings and, "done," she handed the notes back to Adela.

"Sorry for the messy writing, I hope it's still readable," her writing wasn't neat, but it was still fairly readable. Hopefully.

"It's good," Adela mumbled, holding the sheet in her hands as she looked it over again. Jeez, she had gotten quite a few things wrong. Her knowledge of the French language was really lacking... If she hadn't had Arle there to help her out, who knows what would have happened with the recipe.

"Thanks..."
