Sara, Athena, and I hit the Hot Air Balloon Festival yesterday, and it was so much fun! I know I've been updating this blog less since we moved here. One reason for that is because the hours I work here are so different, and I've had to juggle around how I manage my time. Sara and I paid a visit to a little local waterpark yesterday, which I guess means that summer has officially started! One year ago today, Sara and I drove to the pound and picked out Tovah from a roomful of cats. I had so much fun this weekend. Yesterday, I went over Ellen's house to watch Les Miserables with Sarah. It was great - we not only watched the movie, but sang along and watched our favorite song numbers twice, because I can't listen to “They will wet themselves with blood!” just once! A couple at our temple got engaged recently, and on Friday evening, we threw them a delicious oneg to celebrate. (I didn't know about this beforehand, or I wouldn't have gone in my oldest jeans and t-shirt.) I stayed there so late eating and talking with everybody. On Thursday night, I accidentally took a sleeping pill instead of an aspirin for a headache and slept for twelve hours. But I'm glad I got some rest in then, because I feel like I've barely slowed down all weekend! But it was fun, so I can't complain. We leave cold, cloudy Arkansas to return to warm, sunny Louisiana tomorrow morning. I will be happy to see Tovah and have my own room/bed again, but I'm going to miss Athena. She's been the best hostess ever, and we've had so much fun here.
