Well, I got moved this weekend, and I am exhausted. My feet hurt like crazy, and everything feels topsy-turvy, but all my stuff if here, and the old apartment is cleaned out and smells good. The cats are adjusting to the much smaller place. I went from over 900 sq ft, 2 bedrooms and a bath, to a 318 sq ft studio apartment. I've lived in one ( Read more... )

Actually, I haven't moved for 2 1/2 years, and that's a record for me. I'm switching to a smaller apartment on Friday, to save some money, since I'm not making as much as I was 6 months ago. I had to put my oldest cat to sleep yesterday. His name was Elmo and he was 13. A couple of years ago he had a bout with kidney problems, but he had been doing pretty good. Well, I started a new job today. Actually, its a temp job, for about three months, at the county school admin building. I'm helping with a large project, assisting the project manager. I was looking at my hair last night, checking to see how my roots looked (yes I color my hair obsessively) and I noticed several more grey hairs. Fuck. I know, I know, I'm in my forties, so this is expected, but now I'm getting them at my temples and my hairline.
