Speed writing
So that book I started on August 6th? I decided I wanted to finish by the end of October instead of the end of November. I decided this on September 30th with 30,000/60,000 words done.
I now have 41500 words.
But stressful, but I'm on track to finish before my time.
I will do this.
It's like baby NaNoWriMo a month early. -
MFA in Creative Writing
Physical problems have made it pretty well impossible for me to make a living in the normal way, since I can only work a few hours a day before all my joints show why they've inspired a particularly awesome monster in my as-yet-unwritten MFA novel. Cipher
So, after more than three-and-a-half years, Cipher is finished. And by "finished," I mean, "yesterday I sent queries to 50 different agents, so it had better be finished but I'll read and copy-edit it again before it's actually published, whether that be by a traditional agency or not."

Hawk
(In the field where I walk my dog, several large birds of prey live and hunt. At least two of these are red-tailed hawks. Today, one of them landed on a fence close enough that I could see the red plumage of its tail.
