MFA in Creative Writing

Physical problems have made it pretty well impossible for me to make a living in the normal way, since I can only work a few hours a day before all my joints show why they've inspired a particularly awesome monster in my as-yet-unwritten MFA novel.  I can still write; it's the mouse that's the problem.

So I've decided to get an MFA in Creative Writing.  Along with my decade-plus years of editorial experience, this should qualify me to teach writing at the college level.  Yay!  I start at the end of this month.

In the meantime, here is a short story:

I pinched the skin between my eyes, took three deep breaths, and cursed Merlin for choosing me to be this year's financial wizard. "No, no, no," I told the dragon once again, "you're not listening.  If you hoard your gold, it won't accrue any interest. You need to invest."
