He is 16 this year, and has been alive since I was in primary school. If he lives one more year, he will have lived from the time I was in primary school to the time I get my PhD.

Normally I'd be getting all depressed around this time of year, but this year I've decided not to. Really deliberately. I had a horrible summer losing Sam but Habibi's rescue came out of it (she's doing great at the moment. Yesterday Habibi went to the vet because she's still getting a very small amount of bright red blood on her (now normal) stools. He remarked how much better she's seems, how far she's come since she was rescued. I short, she's looking really good.
