The little bit of snow we had overnight has covered everything with a lovely white blanket; pretty and cold enough to keep me inside today. Although its not like there's anywhere I have to be. Happy 2009!
I wish my entire life could be a series of four-day-weekends. I love working only 2 hours a day! On New Year's Day I had a snowshoe up at Brainard Lake with some friends. My sister sent me a book called Gorgeously Green, by Sophie Uliano, for my birthday. Subtitled: 8 simple steps to and Earth-friendly life. I already consider myself to be a pretty green girl. Knit nite and snow!
Last night was quite fun. I got together with some women from work to teach them how to knit. I have successfully indoctrinated three new knitters. Weekend Update
The virology retreat was better than expected, after all. We were late getting up there, but arrived just in time to make the keynote talk Friday night. I now know all about brewing beer, which I should have known, but didn't. Anyway, I'm all versed in malt and wort and fermentation now. Pretty cool stuff.
