Sonata Arctica vocalist Tony Kakko got into Metal at age 22 (1997). Apparently he listened to pop music before that.

(That would explain why Tricky Beans/Tricky Means played pop cover songs in the beginning...)

Sonata Arctica singer Tony Kakko goes on stage in contacts. Off stage, he wears glasses. Though he has gone onstage with his glasses when he played with Apocalyptica earlier this year :)

The Sonata Arctica song "It Won't Fade" was written about former guitarist Jani Liimatainen and his failure to do his civic duties to Finland. Technically this is the wolf song for the album but Tony commented that Sonata Arctica is like a pack of wolves.

Today's:

Queen's first two promo videos for "Keep Yourself Alive" and "Liar" were shot on the same day. Though it didn't go according to plan. The band was told the background was going to be white so they all wore black clothing to stand out. When they got there, however, the background was black.

Since I'm watching Queen videos for Brian's birthday, I might as well post one of the gazillion Queen trivia that I have in my head. In fact, I have a feeling a lot of them will be popping out during this week. I might as well since I've run out of Power Metal ones lately ( Read more... )
