Yesterday was so much fun.

I miss SF too. It had such a good vibe. We always had fun when we went there.

The best part of the evening was waiting with Santa at a crosswalk, and the guy shopping in a top hat. We really should bring top hats back...

Yeah, none of the bands I want to shell out money for ever come to Columbus (except They Might Be Giants once). There is only one major venue here and it's about the size of the Fillmore in SF, so it always sells out within minutes. Some good bands come to Cincinnati or Cleveland, but I'm too old and lazy to drive that far these days...

Actually, we have a couple of good venues here, the Arena downtown and the Schott. But you are right, no good bands ever come to those places. Cleveland gets a lot of good bands, but I'm also too old (as of next month) to drive 3 hours one way for a concert on a weeknight.

I used to get so irritated hearing people refer to SF as "The City" when I was living in Sacramento. Strangely, it doesn't bother me now.
