Colinmac made the unwise move of letting me go to Saturday's Green Spring plant sale with no adult supervision. How can I already be behind on my gardening? My first iris reticulata just opened this morning!

Seized the weekend for hydrangea relocation, pruning part I, inexplicable digging and playing with compost. Also taxes.

The four forsythia branches I selected for indoor forcing experiments all had no flowers at all. The leaves are nice, though.
