Did I just legitimately see a Nook ebook that was essentially a paranormal fantasy romance with Wendy, a Peter Pan who rides a flying motorcycle, and an attractive Captain Hook?

What the fuck?

I'm kind of muscling through the sample and I'm so damned intrigued that I'm trying to decide if it's worth 3 bucks.

I really need to do a write-up and analysis of all the books I've read lately, instead of just the very short, dramatic reaction shots I've treated you all to lately =)

I enjoyed it, though I felt it dragged in places. Some parts were really fun and interesting even though I cringed at them as a writer, and sometimes I feel like Pierce is too easy ( Read more... )

This is a really wonderful essay on why, although eBooks aren't bad, we can't assume that they'll replace books, and more importantly, we can't let the printed word slip away entirely. She does a wonderful job talking about why they're good, but why they can't be relied on and why it can't be assumed that everyone has access to one.
