 I think it's funny how elementary, junior high and high school is all about telling kids that all opinions are equal, but college finally comes out and tells us the truth; "Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but that does not mean that all opinions are equal. Some are simply backed up by more facts or more applicable reasoning ( Read more... )

XD Nothing in particular. It's just something I kept seeing in my high school that simply doesn't fly at college.

Like, the kids there just have this sense of ENTITLEMENT, that if they have an opinion- no matter what it is- then it's just as valid as yours and should be considered equally despite whatever intense flaws in logic, fact, or fairness there may be. In college, people CAN physically admit they're wrong. Whereas in high school they'll just cross their arms and are all like "That's your OPINION".

Well, not really, because not all opinions are founded on logic and good reasoning. Everyone is still perfectly entitled to their opinion, just not entitled to it being treated equally ( ... )

It is valid, though, because there is a mass of people who hold it to be true, and they cannot be ignored.
