On giving in to peer pressure
I've been getting flak from several directions regarding the quite long amount of time since I actually updated this journal. I'm inclined to stick out my tongue and point you towards my Real Blogs or my slightly newer addiction... but just this once I'll oblige and ramble a bit on the Lisa Life.

Good Things
Well, I didn't really expect to say that anything good would come out of the house flooding, but it appears I was wrong. We just got back all of the drycleaning that had to be done, including 20 or so pairs of shoes. They're all absolutely pristine - shoes that range in age from "just bought" to 8 years old. ...Would anyone care to enlighten me as to why my google reader (not my browser, not my gmail or google docs - just my reader) is suddenly displaying in spanish? Don't get me wrong, I've got no problem compartir-ing things instead of sharing them... it just seems a bit odd. -

Ah. And it turns out my insurance doesn't cover plumbing or pipe damage. They'll cover the water damage inside, but however much it costs to repair the broken pipe (or blockage, if that's what it turns out to be) will be out of pocket. How fucking useless is that? -
She said I'm sorry - I had a bad day again....
Yesterday was a pretty singularly bad day. I had a wonderfully lazy, relaxing morning - reading, sipping coffee, trying to catch up on the many, many google reader items. I had some chicken breast thawing in the sink with water running over them, and we were planning on grilling for the evening. It was going to be a nice day.

Stuff and Spanish
So pretty much all the Bad Stuff from my last entry has been mitigated. I’m still rolling off my work project, but I’m rolling onto another local Atlanta project - Memphis was just a misunderstanding by the staffing group. Yay!
