“What do you mean you can’t put them back?”
It occurred to Puck that he was shouting at a woman whose name he still didn’t know, because he hadn’t thought to ask when she’d first been pulled over to help and he’d yet to reach a point where being polite seemed more important than this. The words she was saying now, he decided, were the things to focus on, them and the fact that they were complete bullshit.
“And what exactly should I be putting back? We don’t actually have anything here that I could reattach.” She said it calmly, but there was a hard edge to her voice, like she was about ten seconds away from being a lot less understanding. Puck didn’t really care whether she was pissed at him, though; he just cared about whether she could help.

Which part? Um well it will be sort of better later but there will still be bad things that can't be fixed because you know they were fighting in a war.

A person can totally be happy and healthy without all their fingers! (Okay that was a weird sentence.) And I couldn't fix everything even if I wanted to because Colin's fate is already outlined by HP source material.

Thinking about Colin makes me incredibly sad now. I did not really anticipate this when I first wrote about him and Sam hanging out.
