Yeah, you've lain out everything I'd have thought, knowing what I do of the situation (meaning, your world). I understand your desire to proceed and your husband's hesitancy.
On balance, I don't think that either move, to stay or to go, would be foolish.
Yeah, I know that doesn't help you decide, but it does mean that neither, at least from my limited perspective, appears to portend disaster.
Reading these comments, stick where you are. You're doing well now, but you can sense the limits. Either a different or, or one like the offer you just got in a year or two...those might work.
As the tempting as the money might be, I'd say continue to interview at your own leisure until you can find a new employer that's as close a fit to your current employer as possible. Otherwise, stay put because as invaluable as increased pay and professional growth may be, so are peace of mind and personal comfort.
I agree with akira96. There are jobs which offer a good working environment along with fair and reasonable remuneration. Continuing to interview will turn one or two of them up.
But, in the end, I'm sure your LJ friends will support you whatever you do. Good luck!
Just a reminder, that although very tempting, MONEY IS NEVER WORTH THE STRESS. The job you describe possibly taking will ultimately not be invigorating, but soul sucking and health sapping. Just my two cents from having been in similar situations.
