I had a great time a few weeks back visiting Big Sur - check out the view from Nepenthe!This was the first time I had a video cam with me and I shot close to an hour of footage down on Pfeiffer beach. I love that place :-) I haven't reviewed what I shot yet, but I'm hoping to use much of it for a chill ambient/eye candy project I'm working on... ( Read more... )

Ever notice how many spirals there are around you? The twist of proteins, twist-off bottle caps, galaxies, DNA, Yin/Yang, rope, water going down the drain, LPs, springs, screws, the orbit of the planets... I've been fascinated by them lately.

The members-only behind the scenes evening at Cal Academy. I live for these kinds of events. I am inspired by seeing collections of every kind curated to perfection. It's such an investment to have the space and equipment and time to preserve these things in a useful way. I had a very pleasant evening yesterday. For the second week in a row I spent several hours in M&N's pool. I used to spend as much as 10 hours a day in water as a kid.
