Well, I’m back from New York. If nothing else, it certainly was a learning experience. What I learned:

On campus today I overheard two girls indignantly discussing how "the White House" is "like, a totally a racist term". The kicker came when one of the girls said, "since the President lives in the House of Representatives, why do we even need a White House anyway?"

Computer keyboards are difficult to type on, especially when intoxicated. The QWERTY system has no rhyme or reason, and thus should be abolished. I propose that computer keyboards should be redesigned, or computers should at least have an alternate keyboard that can be hooked up when using AOL instant messenger. I have just received word that my peacock sighting was not an isolated incident! An eyewitness has just reported that just the other day a peacock was the cause of a traffic jam in Watsonville (on Freedom Blvd. no less) as traffic was stopped to allow the bird to cross the road.
