I have just received word that my peacock sighting was not an isolated incident! An eyewitness has just reported that just the other day a peacock was the cause of a traffic jam in Watsonville (on Freedom Blvd. no less) as traffic was stopped to allow the bird to cross the road. I think I may really be on to something here! I wonder if I could ( Read more... )

you know my freind who lives in the santa cruz mountains has peacocks that randomly visit his hick house.

they also seem to be a common pet in the almaden area (outside of san jose city limits)

Your quandary regarding peacock behavior is not one that will go unnoticed. A truly cruciferous question arises from this discussion. Which DID come first, the chicken or the chicken or the peacock or the peacock egg or the peacock crossing the road or the chicken's egg crossing the road or the pregnant chicken crossing the peacock. Thatttt...SAIDDDD, perhaps the more pressing question that is on everyone's mind is: why Freedom Boulevard? Is this perhaps a political statement involving the proverbial counting of chickens before they hatch, or peacocks, if you will. Will you? I wont, which is why I will now conclude this comment.

My goodness. Princess P, I was taken aback and forced to utter something like "zounds!" right in the middle of the library upon reading these two extrordinary entries. You must realize that this is truly one of those frogs-falling-from-the-sky events. Perhaps the peacock is trying to tell you something, a messenger from some parallel universe ruled by peacocks from which you were once forged and must return to. Perhaps he/she (are the pretty ones all boys?) is simply coaxing you into adding a "P" to your already P-happy Princess Proton Profile. Perhaps the peacock is your spiritual protector, your personal pruner, or maybe you are the personification of this pithy personage. I cannot say. But I can say that that story was by far the greatest.

P.S. I begin to shudder spazmodically as May 2 approaches...
