Doctor visit -- follow-up

I went in to see the specialist this morning as a follow-up on the positive toxoplasmosis screen. The ultrasound looked perfect, though it seemed like the baby is getting cramped in there (and she's not even half the size she'll be at birth!). She's measuring at 30 weeks exactly, and I'm at 29w4d. She is feet-down, but there's tons of time for her ( Read more... )

I'd say cancel it if its not needed. But, I wanted to add that I had 7 ultrasounds before my son was born and he is absolutely fine.

Thanks ... if I have one at 33 weeks and one at 36, I would be at eight total, assuming they don't do any others before the baby is born. It just seems like kind of a lot to me.

I had to have a ton of USs for my daughter's pregnancy, and she's okay, but I agree with your concern. If he can't give a logical reason for the US, cancel it.

Honestly, I don't see the harm in them. You're not doing them all day every day, and they're not for that long. I'd rather know what's going on in there than not.
