I just have to say that Cormac McCarthy has totally made my list of favourite authors. His novel The Road is also the first post-apocalypic themed work that I have read since The Stand which I feel does the scope of that theme justice, even though it isn't particularly long. I started reading it at 3AM and had it finished just before sunrise.

Last week I managed to score some extremely reasonably priced vintage stoles on Evilbay and have been awaiting their arrival with great anticipation. They turned up today and I am muchly chuffed! Just recently I have spent a fair bit of time on Ebay. Ok- that might be an understatement. I spend far more time on Ebay than I really should. This is mostly due to the abundance of vintage fur stoles, which I collect. For some reason I just dig their little glass eyes, elongated bodies and clips- for-jaws.
