Being on crutches makes everyone your friend. Instantly. Doors open. Strangers offer to carry things for you. Want to know how you are. There is no social solitude with crutches.
walking the dog on crutches.. sucks. I have developed an attached to belt system that works pretty well. Where are all these nice people when I need my dog

I have a great story to tell you about being stuck on the side of the vermillion cliffs in a truck and being saved by what turned out to be a mormon cult which practices polygamy and marries children to their cousins.. but i'm still wrapping my head around all of it so you have to wait.
