i love northside.
so yesterday was the annual 4th o july fest in northside.. the parade was fantabulous as usual... not your normal god bless america fest.. no no no.. we have anti-war banners, anti-death penalty banners, immigrants rights floats, a big gay marching band, bicycle co-op contingent, scooter duders, anarchist bookstore floats and various other knick-knacks.. lawnchair brigade, burlesque float, the crazy plummer dude's float.. not to mention a horde of tattoo shop floats, stilts walkers, rolling vegatable people, and of course.. flying candy and squirt guns.. it's fun for the whole leftist family.
afterwards there was a festival at which me girlyfriend played and firetrucks soaked us with glorious water from heaven.. till the actual rain started... there was also a festival the night before where burlesque was lashed out, fire was spun, and drinks were had.. good times.. good times..
then last night i dragged fire up to our overlook to watch the city explode in a million backyard booms..
