Ogre's favorite malfeasance as a teen was to sprinkle pot seeds all over town. Drainage ditches, parks, the mayor's backyard.

EEE, I love Dad-stories <3 How adorable is that <3

Omg, the biking/walking to school. As if things are really more dangerous than they were when the parents were kids and walked to school (hell, I walked to middle school). ARG hate people.

<3 <3 <3 <3 Good luck with all the trip-planning! That's going to be fun :)

Televised lawn bowls is probably almost as boring as televised golf. It comes on after Rage here, which is one of those all-night music video programs. So it comes on and you just go "...What?"

Ha, that is such a cool story about the hide 'n' seek. :)

Have you ever seen the free range kids blog? It basically runs agaist the grain of that "OMG CHILD MUST BE WRAPPED IN POLITICALLY CORRECT BUBBLE WRAP" trend. Of course this is about car culture, though. If you drive some four-wheel-drive monstrosity that gets about a mile to the gallon of fuel, your kids are going to be safer than the ones you run over and/or the smaller cars you collide with. *rages* I always rode my bike to school with my mum, and that was great fun until I changed schools and it was too far away to ride.
