He had only returned a few hours ago - or so he thought - to find the city empty of anyone. Had his ability left them all behind? Was he, perhaps, many years in the future, the only survior? Or, perhaps, the only one left behind while everyone else had been sent home.
"Hello?!" His voice was almost hoarse from yelling, but so far no one had answered.

It was when she turned down one of the major streets and didn't see anyway that it all started to really hit home, if it hadn't already.
She did, however, hear a voice from one of the connecting streets. Someone calling out. She turned down an alley and proceeded into the connecting street to see a youngish man calling out. He was the only person on the street aside from herself.
"Hullo?" She called back, not sure if that person was all there or not.

Then it was his question. Long version or short version. She'd try short first.
"A Queen has been phased onto The Ring. She's taking over this land with her shadows and... I don't know what has happened to all the people, but I'm sure she has something to do with it."
She continued to watch his reactions. He seemed nice enough.
"I'm Helena. Helena Campbell. Who are you?"

But now was time for a break. Dante sat looking rather comfy on a low rooftop, his legs dangling off the side while he leaned back on his arms for support. His eyes seemed closed for all intents and purposes but truthfully they were slit just enough for him to keep an eye out. His senses were on high alert, too. As relaxed and at ease as he appeared he was nothing if not astute; he was paying close attention to his surroundings as he knew exactly what sort of place he was in.
He waited until the girl was near his building before making himself obvious with a bit of noise. Although with his red coat he was kinda obvious in the first place.

She considered saying hi. She also considered the "keep walking" option.
She would say Hi. It was in her nature. She couldn't really help it.
"Hullo there...?"

His eyes opened slowly and yet seemed to come to focus on her all at once, the intense blue irises staring down at her as if he could see through her and into her soul. Maybe he was... who knew?
Suddenly he shifted position to lean forward with his arms on his legs and his stare only intensifying as his lips curled upwards in a dark smirk. "Hope you're not lost in your own shadow, girlie."

She had just about given up when she saw someone else. She looked more closely and recognized Helena with surprise. She hadn't seen her since Quatre helped unlock her memories of where they had met and what had happened there. Realizing that eight months of her life had just been forgotten had really thrown her for a loop, but as much as that bothered her, knowing she had forgotten the friends she made there hurt more. Friends like Helena. Part of Cissie was thrilled to see her--she hadn't expected to ever see her again--but another, larger part of her mourned seeing her friend here, in this world. She had hoped that Helena was back home, with her family and Valentine.
But Helena was here, and Cissie had ( ... )

She hadn't seen one of those in quite some time.
"I know. I'm glad you're here too. I would much rather prefer that we should both be at home, but I am happy to see you. Speaking of, what are you doing here? How long have you been here?"

He saw a girl standing there by herself. She didn't seem to be armed in any way. Then again, she could be one of those who had other abilities.
She'd probably notice his small, crackling light anyway, so he called out to her. "Hello?"
XANA seemed to rouse a bit but did nothing, simply observing as was its want.

"Hullo?" she called back.
She couldn't really see who or what it was that was controlling the purple sparks. Or maybe the light was the entity itself. Wouldn't be the first time she'd seen something to that effect.
She waited patiently for the approaching light to respond.

He wasn't sure how to greet her. Talking to girls had never really been his strong point.
"Um...hi," he said nervously, the purple electricity casting odd shadows as it sparked and crackled.

"Hullo. I'm Helena... who are you?"

Dressed in civvies the red-headed man just looked like a normal New Yorker and not the superhero he actually was, but it was his sense of good manners that made him stop.
"Are you alright miss?" He asked conserned about the distressed looking woman.

"Hullo... " Helena peered at him for a moment, he looked nice enough... "I'm alright. Thanks for asking."
Helena's British accent came out more than ever in the silence, bouncing off the walls of this ridiculously silent place. She thought about saying something else but she just didn't know what to say.

He hadn't seen her around the station before and he knew he would have remembered someone with a wonderful accent like hers.
"Why don't I buy you a drink and you can tell me what's bothering you."

Maybe something to drink would help.
"Maybe just a soda or something..." She was going out on a limb here, but she was willing to try something new.
"I'm Helena, by the way. Helena Campbell." She extended her hand in greeting.
